    Bike rack for 4 bikes?

Yep. I used it for one trip and the driving dynamics made me so nervous that I sold the entire system and moved to the pole mounted Thule in the picture above. I’ve seen lots of folks with 4-6 bike tray systems - I wouldn’t use it or follow closely behind one!

    Bike rack for 4 bikes?

I had a 2017 pano-sunroof with the whispbar system that failed after about 10k miles on it with 4 bikes (I also had TWO tandem kayaks on it for 900ish miles). The amount of wind force is astounding and your range will be cut in half with the bikes on the highway and more than in half if you...

Headlights turning on after parked 2020.48?

You’re right, HW3 is correct. I messaged Tesla and they were very quick to check out the car and issued a new software update which corrected the issue. If anyone has this problem, just schedule an appointment via the app and get them to reissue the software update.

Headlights turning on after parked 2020.48?

I just updated to 2020.48.30 and noticed that my taillights and headlights are turning on in my garage a few minutes after I park and staying on. Sentry is disabled. I turned off the “Headlights after parked” setting, but they still turn back on by themselves 3-4 minutes after parked. I also put...

Can MX 6-seater fit 55-inch or 65-inch tv (new in box) in the trunk?

We fit a 55in with room to spare. I'm not sure with enough for 9 more inches for the 65 though. If you move the 2nd rows up as far as they'll go and imagine that you'll slide it in laying flat from the trunk as far up as it'll go and measure from the 2nd row headrest to the back of the trunk...

    Fit and finish issues

I've owned a 2017 Model S and X, both had very slight issues. My advice, buy a used S from Tesla, have them correct any problems that are not disclosed in pictures (my used X actually looked better than the pictures), pay for paint correction or a wrap, and you'll be happy. Panel gaps are much...

Thinking about trading X for S ... change my mind!

If I only used 2 bikes, then the tray system is the way to go for speed and ease. But, the longer it sticks out from the tongue, the more force is applied, so I don't recommend going beyond 2 bikes on a tray. The hanging system takes me about 2-3 minutes to hang 5 bikes and a bit less to take...

How much weight can the frunk support?

50lbs shouldn't be a problem. I've taken my front compartment apart to add the Hanshow power funk and the tub should easily handle 50lbs long-term. If you plan to put a scooter in there daily, I highly recommend the power funk. It takes about an hour and makes it so much more useful. Video...

Thinking about trading X for S ... change my mind!

We used to use our minivan and a hitch mounted rack when we had the MS - for the same reason as you, I didn't want to install a hitch mount. On the MX, we use a Yakima 5 bike holder and it works like a charm. I usually only have 4 bikes on the rack and a kids 20in bike in the trunk. I recommend...

Thinking about trading X for S ... change my mind!

We had an S with the rear facing jump seats for three years. With 3 small kids, it was the perfect daily driver and road trip car (we moved from a smaller Audi A4) - and yes, we took many week long trips in it. As the kids grew, they started to outgrow the rear facing seats and we moved to a 6...

Power Frunk installer Reno or Bay Area

I agree. I installed it in about 2 hours with no experience. It would've been A LOT faster, but I made the mistake with the Hanshow kit of removing the gas-shock arms and immediately putting the powered ones in on the old sockets. I tried to close the trunk and the new arms were too long. I...

    Thinking to buy pre-owned MX

It depends on what I carry with me. When I have 5 bikes on the back, it's around 205-215 miles. When it's low-country flat interstate driving without bikes or the bike hitch, its around 230-245. Normal driving is around town with the hills around here, it's about the same, depending on regen...

Odd paint rash on Falcon Wing Doors - anyone else?

I hadn't even thought about mud flaps on a car like this, but good call. I just bought mud guards from amazon and installed them last night. Took less than 2 minutes per side. It's crazy they don't come standard given the wheel offset and the likely damage.

    Thinking to buy pre-owned MX

I bought a used May 2017 MX 75D this summer from Tesla A few suggestions: 1) this is a great site to search inventory and apply the filters you want: TeslaCPO.io - Search Tesla's Vehicle Inventory 2) I was moving from a 2017 MS with FSD and had a few specific things I wanted: non-black...

Odd paint rash on Falcon Wing Doors - anyone else?

I sold my solid black model S this spring and picked up a used model X in obsidian black metallic. The paint is a lot easier to keep clean, lacks the deep gloss of the solid black, but looks great for longer than the 15 minutes you get with solid black in the real world. Anyway, I noticed that...
