What battery cells are in the 2023 M3 LR?

So it seems the LG battery in the 2024 model 3 performance is slower to charge, dishes out less power, and has a smaller battery pack. (79kwh vs 82kwh. ) Do we know if the LG battery has less longevity, or degrades quicker. ? I was thinking of buying one here in Canada, but honestly, the less...

    Does acceleration boost affect range?

I grabbed the boost for my 2018 model 3. Lots of fun. Definitely feel the difference, and I really haven’t felt any range difference from pre-boost. There are so many variables that affect range, that I’m not sure I would notice anyway. Go for it.

    Costco Michelin Wiper Blades

Yup. Cracked the glass on my BMW with that mistake once… :(

    Strange Behavior only after charging

I have had that happen to me a few times now. I’m not certain it happens only after a charge, but I suspect that’s the case. Must be a new software bug, because it’s new for me also.

    Defective upholstery in Tesla Y

Million cars sold, and it seems a tiny amount have any problems. So I would say the average user has no problem. Despite your belief that your personal care products should NOT affect the seats, they clearly do, and maybe they’re just too strong. Nothing is impervious to certain chemicals. I...

    New SC rates in Ontario

I don’t supercharge a lot. I charge mostly at home, but I don’t recall ever seeing (even recently) a $25-$30 fee. Are you comparing a $6-$7 fee at 5 year old pricing, starting at 50% charge to 80% charge; to prices today from 5% to 100% charge?

Canadian Insurance and Tracking app with Teslas

I agree there are loads of bad drivers. But insurance for those drivers go up on their own. Opting into this is short term gain for some demographics. But that will be short lived also, once they get more adopters. Your rates will go up. They are banking on this long term strategy. :)

Canadian Insurance and Tracking app with Teslas

Short term benefits for some, for sure. You will eventually pay for not caring about the long term, or others, when they change the parameters of how they “feel you need to drive” to continue to get those same discounts. It WILL happen. :)

Canadian Insurance and Tracking app with Teslas

This isn’t about the country, or privacy. This is about corporate profits. All countries have that. Isn’t it easier, to not opt in to something we know they will hold over us later.

Canadian Insurance and Tracking app with Teslas

That will work at the moment. Until they have enough folks buying into it, and helping them build this out. They will then make it legislation. Then you can’t say no. …

Canadian Insurance and Tracking app with Teslas

lol. They want you and everyone else to feel you’re in control, or getting a better deal right now. This is early, they have an end game in mind. Do you honestly and truly believe, insurance companies want these apps to save you money long term, and make insurance more affordable with this...

Canadian Insurance and Tracking app with Teslas

This isn’t at all about privacy. It’s about insurance companies wanting everyone on tracking apps, so they can justify raising your rates. Insurance companies LOVE using stats to raise rates. This is a long term dream of theirs, your assisting them with. :)

Canadian Insurance and Tracking app with Teslas

I’m not a fan of tracking apps for insurance. They will eventually want everyone on them. Slippery slope.

Disc brake significant grooves - performance only?

I agree. Everyone knows how to care for an ICE engine. What to do, what not to do, etc. Many folks keep blaming Tesla for their brakes prematurely wearing, but it’s just a lack of educating themselves on the differences, and how to care for them. As more EV’s are made, this problem will fade...

Maybe the paranoid amongst us were right

Take Tesla out of this for a minute. If someone is suing you or your company, and you have footage proofing they are lying. You’re suggesting you would ignore the footage that proves they are lying, and allow them to take you for a financial ride. … ? Come on. I think his intent certainly...
