Tesla app version 4.0.0 has app re design for both car and energy

I am manually changing the reserve based on time of day. I plan to automate it once I get a better understanding. Also waiting for new utility rate feature with multiple peaks to roll out to see if it will match what I want to do. Time-based control is not working correctly since recent...

Tesla app version 4.0.0 has app re design for both car and energy

Self-Powered with reserve set to 100% is not equivalent to old Backup mode. One difference I have noticed is that if I change the reserve back to 100%, the batteries are not getting 100% of solar production sometimes. I am not sure if Tesla has some forecast in terms of how much solar production...

Tesla app version 4.0.0 has app re design for both car and energy

I noticed that the green light in the app is the SOC battery level, and it decreases as battery energy is depleted. So it does serve some purpose, and I haven't confirmed this but I think the light on the powerwall does not indicate the battery level as it does in the new app.

Phone Key and Key Card stopped working

I was able to use the key card to unlock or lock from the driver door. You have about a minute to push the break pedal to drive the car before you need to unlock again.

Tesla app version 4.0.0 has app re design for both car and energy

Tesla has documented the utility rate plan on their website: Utility Rate Plans | Tesla Support From the pictures, it seems that it will be possible to edit them in the app. It also mentions that this requires Powerwall firmware 21.39.

New Tesla APP 4.x. Released for iOS and Android

Tesla added instructions on their website on how to setup this new rate utility plan: Utility Rate Plans | Tesla Support. I still don't see the 'Utility Rate Plan' under Settings on my app though. Probably this will be rolled out soon.

New Tesla APP 4.x. Released for iOS and Android

I just got 4.2.0 app on iOS. It says Powerwall Time-Based Control supports multiple peaks. I could not configure more than one though. Gateway is on 2021.35.0.

    Software v21.35.x

I have version 21.35.0 since Oct 1, and so far here are my observations: 1) I don't see the trickle charges anymore. They used to show as blue spikes (grid) in powerwall graph. 2) Battery degradation as seen in total_pack_enegery API field is now back. With 21.31.0, the degradation stopped...

    Software v21.35.x

Do you have PW2 with Gateway 1? I also had a total pack energy bump when I got upgraded to 21.31.0. From 11,416 kWh to 11,539 kWh. The degradation also stalled compared to before. I used to see this number go down almost every day.

    Software v21.31.0

Darn. I am still waiting for an update as well but I am on Gateway 1. I had a service request through the app, but I never heard back from Tesla, and the ticket is gone and I cannot see it anymore in the app. Not sure why they have added service requests in the app if it cannot be reliable...

Tesla app version 4.0.0 has app re design for both car and energy

Good point, doing this now for good measure. The app was not showing same day backup history when storm Ida was passing through our area. And it was not possible to refresh the backup history. So hopefully this trick of deleting app and reinstalling it would fix those issues. The functionality...

Tesla app version 4.0.0 has app re design for both car and energy

I noticed that the app does not show data at times (zero flat lines), but if you pull down on the graph it triggers a refresh, and the data is then updated.

    Software v21.31.0

Thanks for the heads-up. I will keep an eye for this update. I had created a service ticket using the app 1 week ago, and so far I haven't heard back from them. I thought I would give this method of requesting support a try since I didn't think my issue was urgent, and I didn't want to wait...

Phone Key and Key Card stopped working

In my case, the module was not responding to any phone or key card registered with the car. The only way I was able to start the car was using the key card with the external reader by the driver door. Anyway, I was able to get the module replaced in my second attempt. I made sure not to install...

Phone Key and Key Card stopped working

There was a software update being pushed at the time, so I changed the setting to get the update earlier (advanced). This is a link that describes this: Software Updates Tesla did not replace the module after it failed and I installed the software. You might want to schedule a service and have...
