surprisingly (and likely since they merged the fsd and autopilot stacks a few updates ago) - I just subscribed on the app- went out to the car 10 minutes later- and (with no software update run), I had a notice on the monitor telling me FSD was now functional.

My specific SSD drive is 4 months old as well. But still odd. I can't be the only one having these problems - and from this thread, it's not just me. Do we just wait for the next software update, then, and hope it gets fixed?

I can't temporarily resolve the issue either. The problem occurred after I subscribed to FSD 5 days ago (I'm running 2024.8.9 on a 2023 MY LR. I thought the SSD went on the fritz; I plugged in my old USB drive and it, too, doesn't work. It's got to be a software issue. Does everyone having this...

I've not gotten the free FSD for a month - 2023 MY here - or is this still rolling out?

Currently installing 2023.44.30.4; I started the process 45 minutes ago and it's at 60% - it's definitely much bigger and takes longer to install! Still, looking forward to the full installation and the new BSW (way overdue IMHO).

Aha- here's the problem: "Diagnose and replace front drive unit and left halfshaft. Refilled Vacuum Cooling System for consistently failing thermal test. Perform 4 Wheel Alignment. Performed Post-Repair Validation Test Drive. Verified proper operation". A lot more serious than we all thought!

I dropped off the car at my local service center; they said the symptoms were similar to that of a bad hub bearing (really?). We'll see what they say and I'll post the response.

Had an interesting problem today- my acceleration changed to CHILL with no apparently easy way to reset it back to Standard - then my top speed warning reset to 80 km/h from 125 km/h for some reason - I did a hard reboot then played with virtually all settings before the "CHILL" finally reset...

I don't think it's abnormal. i installed 2023.12.9 last night and tried to do light show for my in-laws- it tells me to exit the car so the show can begin - then the monitor goes blank and nothing happens. I rebooted twice - same thing. Looks like it's glitch in the code.

Demand tanked because Elon pandered to the MAGAs who'd never dare be seen in an EV - which ticked off the BLUES who were his target customer base- not happy about the price decrease, but gotta admit- Elon brought it on.
