What updates are available for 2017 Model X ?

Same here with my Model S - I have done cosmetics - CF spoiler, camera caps and mirror covers. Illuminated sills are a nice touch that I added, Tesla logo door lights, upgraded interior LEDs, painted calipers. If you have gates then Homelink if it wasn't already installed - use that every...

Whats your favourite and least favourite supercharger and why?

I stayed at the hotel in October and charged my car there - I received 2 parking tickets which just last week Hilton (after escalating within Hilton) finally were confirmed as cancelled. I think the hotel is now a franchise rather than a "real" Hilton hence the awful parking system. Definitely...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I have been using IO for a couple of weeks now - overall it seems to work well. Occasionally it hasn't made a schedule and so I stopped the charging with the app, it had still charged as instructed in the morning. Most times I get a schedule very soon after I plug in. Octopus Go reduced to 9p...

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

I had no connectivity/traffic most of my journey to work this morning, although maps still drew. I can connect to the car via the app so I guess it has connected now - or can it use the local WiFi for that ?

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

Thanks - moved over on Friday and after the testing all seems to have gone smoothly so far. Arrived at work today, moved the slider from 50 - 90 and it charged at work no issues. Will see what happens when it gets home and if it tries to schedule a charge (ie follows the car setting) or if it...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

Thanks for this - I have read (most) of the thread and it seems a simple choice to move from Go to IO and gain another couple of hours off peak and a lower OP rate too. My charger (Garo) isn't smart enough for IO so I will be using the car (Model S). Looking at the thread it seems if I set...

[UK] Tesla Wall Charger, temporarily extending using supplied Tesla cable

If your extension is going to be months you could consider wiring a longer cable into the charger. EV Chargeking and others I am sure, sell cables terminated to wire into a charger.

Anyone else have this unsightly issue on their Model S?

I have something similar (2017 S) but you can see them externally. I had a similar issue with rust bubbling underneath the paint on the alluminium wings of my RS4. Audi said it was "occlusions" metal particles that had settled on the aluminium prior to painting. The car was out or regular...

    [UK] Model S/X LHD Discussion

This is a pity as I was hoping to change my 2017 MS for the new model at some point. I remember the G60 Corrados - only available in LHD and then VW changed their minds and offered in RHD throwing the LHD owners under the bus. I can't really see Tesla effectively withdrawing their "halo" cars...

    Homelink - UK

It is better than that - you can set it to send a signal at a certain (adjustable) distance from the gate - so as I approach my gate I get the prompt you see, then as I get closer I see a count down of the distance before it automatically triggers the gate (with option to not). Works the same...

    Homelink - UK

Edit to add - the box is very flexible - just sends an open command so rather than add it into the gate motor wiring I wired it into the intercom which was easier to get to and it is powered off the intercom and triggers an open command via that. It can run at 12V or >24V so can be powered from...

    Homelink - UK

Bumping this thread - it has been a long time, but I now have Homelink working. It turned out that the original module in the car was faulty hence I couldn't pair it with the HL receiver I bought from Easygates. This was fixed by Tesla mobile service - as soon as the technician understood I had...

Bought used 2018 MX 100D. Considering some upgrades... advice?

I would say the CCS upgrade is definitely worth it - quite a few of the SC sites in the UK only have CCS capability, also the charge speed does seem much faster (2X) vs the older "twin" SC on my 2017 S.
