Maybe they “tried” to fix this via software, but I saw a series by a guy where he did some extensive HVAC testing (including buying an entire assembly to test outside of the vehicle) and he noted that the very “fix” you’re speaking of…might actually be a “cause” for some of the mold/mildew/stink...

I know this is an ancient thread, but I’ve got the almost exact same situation but on the passenger side of the vehicle on my 2023 MYP. I’ve got mobile service scheduled for next Tuesday and a quote of around $870 to to replace parts/repair…

Can't speak for everyone, but mine gets just as hot as the OEM wheel and the heating seems pretty well distributed throughout the yoke when I've got it on.

Same here, but I do take advantage of the kickdown option in the Teslogic app on absolutely necessary occasions... Hopefully doing it this way will help me stretch these factory shoes out as long as possible...
