This made me wonder, so I just went out and looked at mine. Both sides on mine are the same length, right about 3" from the housing to the end of the boxy seatbelt part (whatever that is called).

Have you checked the glovebox or any paperwork provided at delivery? I just took possession of mine about a month ago here in Fort Worth and it was in the glovebox.
