Count me in this group: I "suffer" from both range & cloud anxieties!

I’m new to this, and still waiting for PTO. As of now, my 2 PWs (~14kWh system) is set to 20% reserve. I’ll probably maintain the same reserve capacity as: 1) we rarely have outages in our area (White Plains, NY), and 2) would like not to use the grid.

This. Is there a hack to avoid depleting the PWs in the night when I plug in both our cars?

Our system just got installed last week (in NY), and I am in your camp -- need max ROI. So far, I have left the PWs at default (50% discharge) -- is your discharge level much lower (say 20%)?

I’m in a similar situation as you….more inclined to proceed now as I expect the PW3 to be priced much higher. Also, given Tesla’s past history which product releases, “April 2024” might very well mean “December 2024” for mass availability. Who knows what our local utility might be doing by the...

Hmm…where is this information? Tesla website says install must happen by 10/31/23. What is now explicitly added is that only PW2 & PW+ will qualify for the rebate.

Thanks for the helpful discussion, but per the Tesla manual, the recommendation seems to be to charge to 100% for daily use….where does it say to charge to the car to say 80-90%, and then top it up to 100% “before the drive”? If your vehicle is equipped with an LFP Battery, Tesla recommends...

This looks like a good option, for a reasonable price. I also don't have heavy bikes (2 small kiddo bikes)...quick question: did you need to also buy the tow package? (I have a MY: Model Y Tow Package).
