I've read through this discussion but can't tell whether this function in Service Mode will force the TPMS sensors to re-connect, and therefore hopefully fix an incorrect placement (where the front and rear tires are swapped on the display). Any conclusion?

Aaahh... I figured you'd need to take the tire off to remove the weight of the car. ok - then I'm buying the $10 kit for next time. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies! I can get the plug kit mentioned by MY-Y and Pianwman at the local Home Depot, but I don't have a jack...that would be a good investment for next time. My plan was exactly what jcanoe suggested, but after a bunch of phone calls, I'd have to drive an hour each direction...

I just came here for the same reason and am bummed that there is apparently no way to turn this off. It’s so annoying to have to scroll past destinations from road trips - hundreds of miles away - before getting to the places I go all the time. I guess I will delete them from the recents list...
