I am using the Model S Homelink function with a Sommer model 1041 successfully. The first time I programmed the Model S it was a little flaky. I tried again with a new battery in the opener remote and it significantly improved operation. Now it works well.

I couldn't agree more. Tesla will update the UI in 7.0 and will surely do so again at some point in the future. We will all apply the update because while the UI change may take a little time to get used to, we all want the additional features (Lanekeeping, self parking, Tire pressure...

This same thing happened to me recently. What fixed it for me was to go into Android Settings --> Apps --> Tesla and perform a "Force Stop", "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data". After that when I opened the app I got a blank login screen. Provided credentials and all was back to normal.

What else can I add, but to say that I love my P85D as a commuter. About 80 miles round-trip 2-3 days per week. Most of my driving is freeway, and with TACC is is sooo much more relaxing. Next gen seats are also extremely comfortable. As others' have said, no worries about battery capacity at all.
