M3P+ Close But Not Quite There for Track/Performance Use

I've not heard of any Corvettes "melting brake pads". Street pads are a compromise for the street, so you can always do better with any car with race pads. Let's use the Camaro ZL1 as a benchmark. Chevy spent a lot of time making sure it cooled properly for track use. GM even has track prep...

M3P+ Close But Not Quite There for Track/Performance Use

I'll just reply to a few of the comments. Believe it or not, you can drive a car in control and safely at speed without stability control. Yes, it does take skill, but that's the whole point. You can't drive a track with one pedal regen only. Not enough braking. Track oriented cars these...

M3P+ Close But Not Quite There for Track/Performance Use

I have read every article and viewed every video I can find on the P3D+ to try to decide if it is suitable for track/performance use. I was interested in buying one. My conclusion is it is not quite there yet. It's a little too early. 1) It doesn't have enough cooling capacity for the...

    Hydrogen vs. Battery

Obama cut back fuel cell funding, because he doesn't like a technology that would be hard to ration. Electricity is easy to ration, hence, the rollout of smart meters. Michael

GM Working on a 200 Mile Range EV?

Yeah, that's right a toy, that just happens to have the highest customer satisfaction of any car built. Michael

Yeah, CARB knows best, just like they did with MTBE and water supplies. Michael

    EMF Radiation

I don't know how to make this any clearer. I am looking for the scientific studies. I am not making any assertions or assumptions either way. Michael

    EMF Radiation

What are you implying with "and yet"? Is there something wrong with someone coming here looking for actual scientific tests? I don't think I am going to get any response from Tesla. They aren't going to release that, and, frankly, I don't think they care if someone is interested in that. I...

    EMF Radiation

Where is it you are breathing all these fumes? This isn't 1964. Cars have evaporative emissions systems now. Gas fillers collect vapors. Cars have catalytic converters. Some cars even have charcoal cabin filters. I hope you are not drinking any alcohol. Michael - - - Updated - - - That...

    EMF Radiation

Thanks for link. As far as your second question, I think I will chaulk it up to "human nature". I see both sides doing this. I will say, though, as time goes on and knowledge increases, many things that were considered "safe" turn out to be not so safe. Michael

    EMF Radiation

The test results seemed more "empiracle" than "science". A) Sample size of one. B) One meter with limited bandwidth. C) Meter not calibrated. D) Magnetic fields not measured. Michael

    EMF Radiation

It interesting the responses from this thread. * "Anyone worried about EMF is a nut" (or worse, "a whacko"). * "It's never affected me." * "I got an EMF meter from Amazon (or fill in the blank), and I can't find any dangerous EMF". Maybe I was expecting too much, but I was hoping for something...

"Zero" means "Zero" - Caution about Vegas to LA trip!

Hi Cliff, I really like the trip planner! Very cool! I see the energy used for each leg of the trip, but I am not seeing where it says to charge, though. Also, it said that your car is a P85. You may have had more difficulty if it was a 60 making those trips. Michael

    Spirited Driving - Maximum Wh/m

Great info! I surprised the Wh/m is that low. Did you have to slow down due to lack of cornering grip? Michael
