Bent 22 Inch T Sportline Wheels

The bend was minor and the repaired them mechanically. But I agree this might weaken the wheels, and I will keep a close watch over the next couple months.

Bent 22 Inch T Sportline Wheels

Fortunately a local company specializes in repairing rims and was able to do so for $150 per wheel. My concerns is I can't recall a single instance of hitting a hard bump or pothole yet needed up with two bent rims. And by bent I mean a slight wobble that is visually apparent as the wheels are...

Bent 22 Inch T Sportline Wheels

I installed a set of 22 inch MX118 T-Sportline wheels on my Model X P90D about a month ago. I recently noticed some vibration and thought the wheels might need balanced or perhaps were improperly balanced at the tire shop. The tire shop discovered that two of the rims were bent (front driver...

Best/Easiest Way to Get Tsportline Wheels Installed

About 4 weeks ago, I had T-Sportline deliver the wheels to a local tire shop and I had them installed the next day. It was less than a week from the time I ordered the wheels until they were installed. I would recommend calling around until you find a tire shop willing to take delivery. A few...

How much does it cost to wrap a car in vinyl?

It cost me 4200 including the door jams and blacking out most of the chrome. This was in Austin, Texas. I'm sure the price varies widely.

Does anybody NOT wrap their cars?

It was the back bumper. That was the cost. The installer had leftover material so that might have reduced the cost.

Does anybody NOT wrap their cars?

I did wrap the chrome with a gloss black, but you are right they didn't do the mirror. I didn't want them to take it apart to wrap the mirror. Perhaps it is trivial, but neither of us wanted to take the risk. You are right about repairs. I replaced one panel after brushing up against a cable...

Does anybody NOT wrap their cars?

I wrapped my P90D MX with a 3M titanium vinyl simply because I liked how it looked. The Tesla paint choices are very limited and there are four MX with the exact paint color in my condo building. It was a simple way to have fun with the vehicle, and for an extra $4k, an easy choice for me. I am...

Gave up on the ESE carbon wheel hopes and installed T-Sportline 22" wheels

I have never looked at the 30 mile average consumption (before or after the new wheels), so I couldn't comment on it. I would agree that there probably isn't an efficiency improvement or T-Sportline would promote it. Because I use my MX almost exclusively for commuting and short trips near...

Gave up on the ESE carbon wheel hopes and installed T-Sportline 22" wheels

The ride is excellent. For the most part, I haven't noticed a difference between the 22" and 20" wheels. On a rough surface, the low profile tires provide a somewhat rougher ride.

Gave up on the ESE carbon wheel hopes and installed T-Sportline 22" wheels

T-Sportline makes the following claim on its website: The MX118 wheel set is approximately 24% lighter than the Tesla 22” Turbine staggered wheel set. The MX118 wheel set is approximately 9% lighter than the Tesla 20” Slipstream staggered wheel set. I suspect that claim is accurate, but I...

Gave up on the ESE carbon wheel hopes and installed T-Sportline 22" wheels

I took delivery on my MX in May 2016 and put a deposit on the ESE carbon wheels last August. I finally decided to stop waiting for the carbon wheels (to their credit, ESE promptly refunded my deposit when asked and always communicated during the process) and instead went with the 22" T-Sportline...

100KW battery upgrade now available $20k

Having taken delivery of a Model X, P90D(L) two months ago, I am a little disappointed the upgrade cost is so expensive for existing owners. I am new to the board and admit lack of knowledge with past upgrades, but is there any possibility that the cost of this upgrade will be cheaper a year...

Experience with Tesla Certified Body Shops in Austin, Texas

Yesterday, someone rear ended my Model X--just two months after delivery and 3 weeks after I had it wrapped. It will require a new bumper and bottom trim and probably some work on the lower part of the rear hatch. There are two Tesla approved body shops in Austin--Autocraft Bodywerks and Roger...

Model X Matte Wrap and Possible Sensor Problems

This isn't a clear wrap. It is an opaque vinyl wrap and what you are seeing is the matter color of the warp. They did no cut out the sensors--which might be the source of the problem.
