Delivery pushed back almost 3 weeks and VIN disappeared.

Dunno if this is related or not, but I got a call last Thurs (Aug 30) that I could suddenly receive my car the next day. I was out of town through the weekend, so I scheduled delivery for last night (Sept 4). I got a call yesterday at the start of my delivery window, from my delivery specialist...

If anybody doesn't wanna wait for the new production run, FYI I'm selling my uninstalled original kit: Tesla Model S Front Camera switch kit | eBay

    artsci's forward-facing camera+switch kit

I have a never-installed kit. For various reasons, I have to sell my Tesla. The camera kit hasn't been a selling point for any of my car buyers, so I'm just selling it separately at this point: Tesla Model S Front Camera switch kit | eBay This is the kit described in this thread...

Things you may not have discovered about your Model S?!

Just discovered a new hidden feature: If you slide either of the driver's side A/C vents ALL the way to the left, then a secondary flap comes down (it's not very visible, as it's behind the vent's directional grills) and closes the vent completely. Ditto for the passenger side, but you have to...

Funky Turn Signal & Mouse Flatulence

Fixed here, too! I have to say, I'm kinda shocked. When the service center took a look at the problem (just a week or two ago) and told me that it would be fixed in an upcoming software upgrade, I *really* thought they were full of it! I knew that others on the forums have been getting...

Funky Turn Signal & Mouse Flatulence

I had my car in for service and they claimed that this will now get fixed with a software update. I'm kinda skeptical, but had no basis to argue at the time. If the next update rolls around and it doesn't fix things, though, then I'll take it back and insist.

Funky Turn Signal & Mouse Flatulence

Yup, confirmed this morning that it's both right/left turns for me. An interesting thing that I noticed this time, though -- the problem didn't show up initially. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I've been temporarily parking my car outside (instead of in my garage) this...

Funky Turn Signal & Mouse Flatulence

Interesting. I'm pretty sure that mine shows up equally on left/right turns. But I'll double-check in the morning.

Funky Turn Signal & Mouse Flatulence

Yup, I've had this bug since day one of delivery back in late October, and it's survived two different software upgrades (as of today, I'm on 4.2). I've narrowed it down slightly... through experimentation, I realized that it only happens when my headlights are OFF (DRL and other lighting...

Windshield wiper issues (modes and settings)

After submitting my description/complaint to [email protected], I was pleasantly surprised to get a call back from a service manager today. He insisted that I bring the car in sometime so they can spray water on it and verify that things are/aren't working properly. It's not a...

Windshield wiper issues (modes and settings)

So there are 4 wiper modes, both as explained during my delivery process and according to page 18 of the owner's guide: - 1: Auto with lo sensitivity - 2: Auto with hi sensitivity - 3: Continuous, slow. - 4: Continuous, fast. Am I the only one that finds the only difference between 1+2...

Special spot in glove compartment -- for J1772 adapter?

I was wondering what else would go there since it's so deep... I hadn't thought of an umbrella! But I think an umbrella might still fit better sideways. As far as how often I'll use it -- I'll be using it several times a week, depending where I'm parking during the day. And it just seemed silly...

Special spot in glove compartment -- for J1772 adapter?

I was super-annoyed this week with the lack of storage in the Model S for one very specific item: the J1772 adapter. I wanted it somewhere in the front seat, so that I could easily grab it. And of course, due to all the minimalism in the cabin, there was no place to put it but the glove box...

Anyone have problems with low volume from rear speakers?

Larry: I tried it again this morning, and saw identical behavior (while playing a stereo track from my iPhone via bluetooth) regardless of whether Dolby was turned on or off. I was sitting in the front seat the whole time, so I didn't measure things "super-carefully," but I detected no...
