Fitting 19" wheels to my P85+ - is this possible?

So my P85+ (with 21” staggered wheel setup) has gone into the dealer for some warranty work, and I have a standard 85 loaner with 19” wheels; both cars ride on air suspension. Naturally, I’ve noticed some differences and it’s got me thinking… My car feels more planted at speed, and I put this...

Real-world range anxiety - first experience!

We started with 100% as we were charging up overnight at home, although we didn't really need to to reach the first SpC. At the SpC's we only ever charged up to around 80-90%, it gets so slow to get to 100% when you doing a long tip you're often better to get going and charge at the next station...

Real-world range anxiety - first experience!

Aah, I know the one you mean now! Yes we were using that too, although only once we were moving rather than charging. Does this take into account outside temperature too? The only thing I imagine it cannot really account for is a strong headwind... Yeah, we didn't check that until we were on...

Real-world range anxiety - first experience!

What do you mean by the trip tray? The 220 miles was the 'typical' (not rated?) mileage showing in the bottom left corner of the dash. We were then using the energy graph on the 17" screen (and the smaller version on the dash) to monitor wH/mile usage over the 5/15/30 mile trips. Are you talking...

Real-world range anxiety - first experience!

Will take a look at that website, could be a useful tool - thanks :) I don't think 10% was enough buffer for this trip; we started with 220 miles and only covered around 140miles, arriving with 14 miles range left. That's around 35% range lost! We didn't have to divert, both SC's were en...

Real-world range anxiety - first experience!

Well, I had my first proper experience of “Range Anxiety” this weekend! We went up to Scotland (UK owner, here!) for some snowboarding, and the car (Tesla Model S) had performed faultlessly throughout, and charging all the way there and whilst there and been a doddle. However, on the way home...

Do "pretty" cars cost more to make than "ugly" cars?

I work in the automotive industry (OEM), and my insight is as follows: - To design a beautiful car costs more; a 2D sketch will be the same whatever you come up with, but to get the right proportions and interactions between all the various components that make up a vehicle is not an easy task...

    Charging in Poland

Hi all, I see this thread is about a year old, but I'm not sure what has changed in the last 12 months! :) I'm actually from the UK but my girlfriend is Polish and we are patiently waiting for the Supercharger network to become widespread in Poland so we can drive to visit her family, rather...

    Thoughts on my P85 loaner

I have a P85+ with 21" wheels and air suspension, and have tested a P85D. Although the P85D was definitely quicker off the line and had more outright grip, the P85+ is definitely a more compliant ride and more fun as a RWD. Overall I think I prefer my car. I was also concerned about not having...

    Energy graph warning symbol?

OK, thanks all. As long as it is not a major issue and just a temporary concern relating to battery temperature or SOC then that's fine, thanks!

    Energy graph warning symbol?

Thanks guys, that's quelled some fears! I had a decent amount of range (around 150 miles?) and it has only appeared under full-throttle acceleration. It was early in the morning with an outside temperature of around 2-5'C, however I'd been driving for half an hour at this point so would expect...

    Energy graph warning symbol?

Morning all, and first of all hello - first post on the forum although I've been browsing for a while! I have a late P85+ with AP and really enjoying the car. However, I have a warning symbol (yellow triangle) appearing that I cannot fathom what it is for. It only seems to appear under hard...
