Possible to lock M3 with cellphone in car?

Having it on wifi hotspot to allow car to update when no other wifi available. :-)

    High mileage check-in

Not high mileage but 37,000km on my 2019 M3SR+. Bought Sept 2019, just did first service today - air filters and windshield wipers. Love this car!

    Fuel/Maintenance Savings vs. reasonable expectations

Something many of the answers don't appear to discuss (I haven't checked very one), is free charging. Here in the TOronto Canada aea, cities have numerous free charging stations. My small city of Burlington offers them in their parking lots, which are free to park in from 6pm each day and all...

    Chicago Condo Charging Station

Ask an insurance agent. When I installed mine, I called my insurance and they had no idea what to do or if it was even possible. After all, its an electrical connection and a plug (or Tesla charger). Typically, the electrical connection belongs to the condo and hence their insurance should...

What's your best piece of Advice for a newbie?

Lots of great advice here. There is a learning and a trust curve to a new EV driver. Don't sweat the small stuff and don't get hung up with mileage - just ensure you have enough charge for your daily driving. I see far too many worrying about the numbers reached per charge. Treat it like your...

[Is a model 3 a good purchase for someone who is] Not computer literate

If he is your friend, let him sit in yours an take it around the block once he has played with the control screen a little. Easy enough to determine his skillset and comfort level. That's what friends are for

Car kicks up dust and dirt on rear: Any solutions?

Wash or dust after every drive? Some folks have way too much time on their hands. Its a car. That I drive when needed (21,00km in a year give or take). It's been washed probably less than half a dozen times. Here in Toronto cars get real dirty every day you drive in winter, so comes with the...

    High mileage Model 3's

Congrats! I'm only around 22,000km on my Sept 19 SR+ plus no issues (I did have to refill the washer fluid). I use winter tires so they get changed each spring and fall. I do wish it was quieter and had suspension as its a pretty bumpy ride but otherwise love it.

    High mileage Model 3's

I had a 2010 GLK350 with 280,000kms on it. Had no major problems, regular service basically over that time. It was a fantastic car. Bought the Tesla 3 SR+ as I didn't want any hassles when things did start going wrong, plus of course wanted a Tesla so no gas costs once I retired. Truly loved the...

Any owners of Galaxy S20 FE 5G/Phone key reliability?

I bought my wife the Galaxy 20FE for just that reason. Her old model 6 phone wasn't connecting to the car. She has had no problems since getting the 20FE

    TeslaFi vs Teslascope

I am using Tezlab a newer app on my Android Note 9. Like the interface and they are constantly adding to it. I tried Teslafi but found the interface hard to deal with. Tezlab lets my car go to deep sleep easily each night.

    Getting pissed with degredation

I have to wonder. Did everyone here obsess over their ICE gas mileage as much as this? I'm sure it degraded as much or more as needed maintenance was missed or the car aged yet most folks didn't give it a thought. The batteries are warranted for 8 years and so far, all evidence points to them...

Anyone Purchased the Hansshow Heads-up Display?

Not to be picky but so many folks write this - you only have one head - its a Head-Up display. :-) I had them on previous cars and really liked it, not sure how useful it is on a Tesla since, as many point out, the large display is so close and easily legible. That said, I can see the allure if...

    Rotating the screen toward driver

I find it would be nice to move the screen away slightly tot he right. When driving, my hand at 2o/c is covering part of the screen showing the car and surrounding obstacles (cars etc). I have to take my right hand off the wheel to see. Be nice if that could be resolved by moving it a bit
