Because since the release of awd model 3 they have had 2 5% power increases. When they released the car it was 4.4-4.5 after first update consistent 4.3.-4.4 now after update a few months back it’s hitting 4.1 consistently. Then pay for boost and ppl get 3.7-3.8 no update for model y yet.

I would avoid upgrading to sr+ if you are sr owner. I’m at 192-194 at 90% and 216 at 100% that’s over 10% degradation and I only have 35k miles on car..

Okay.. well explain how the mid range/standard range plus/ LR Rwd has specs of 211 kw power output but the rwd motor in the awd performance puts down 255kw of power.. and now the model y puts down 270.5 kw of power. And they all use the same rear motor. That shows us rwd cars are capable of...

Actually you have it backwards. There are dyno videos that show the LR has more power to 100mph then the sr+ has more top end power. It’s not much but it does. And I know it is capable of mid 4’s is because Tesla slowed the LR rwd down after they first released it. It was doing mid 4’s

I have been wondering the same thing! I have a sr+ and notice this as well. It is definitely limited to make the difference between the awd model. This car is definitely capable of mid 4s 0 to 60 but sadly limited..

My sticker shows standard range with 220 miles. And I purchased standard plus 240 miles. But my car shows it’s a standard plus but only got 240 miles the first 5k miles. Then dropped to 227... and now I’m at 216 miles at full and only 30k miles on car...

I say 250 mile range is the 75kw pack. Model Y is getting 315 out of the 75kw for dual motor. The 100kw pack for 300+ range.. model x dual motor(100kw) is now getting 351 miles of range and tri motor is the 200kw pack they are putting in the roadster.

Completely incorrect. They changed from mcu 1 to mcu 2 in 2018.. it’s a night and day difference. And supercharging speeds have a huge difference as well.

I agree 100%. I would love to purchase auto lane change for $250-$500.. and possibly smart summon for $1500-$2,000
