    Supercharger - Birmingham, AL

Just a heads up if you are depending on this SC this weekend (or any other weekend this fall) The lot this SC is in @ the BJCC in Birmingham is a premium parking lot for the UAB football stadium. I'm sure it will still be open for Tesla charging (just an assumption, though) but keep in mind...

Cabin overheat protection not working post 2020.32.3

Since I have installed 2020.32.3, it seems that cabin overheat protection is not working. Has anything changed with the behavior of triggering COP? I'm plugged in but it is still getting to 120-140F in the car

Aux input into Model 3 (or: FM modulation questions)

Maybe I missed it in this thread or another thread, do you have some info on hardwiring the FM Direct?

Aux input into Model 3 (or: FM modulation questions)

oh, I get it. I really wish it had been an option or would be made an add-on option to get a hardware radio, but the addition of it is unlikely, and the best fidelity would be an app in the car streaming

Aux input into Model 3 (or: FM modulation questions)

I feel like a Tesla-like solution to this would be for them to add SXM as an app, like Spotify, and then you could stream. I've @siriusxm with the suggestion and they acknowledged it and said they'd take it back to their team. Tried to get Elon with it on Twitter but that is a crap shoot. Maybe...

    Passengers in M3 alone!

This is how every other car works, exactly. Lock the doors, and then open the door from the inside and the alarm goes off. That's how alarms work, because they're premised on the fact that if someone locks the car they didn't lock a person inside and if the door opens when the door is locked...

Tesla introduces time-of-day Supercharger rates at select locations

Of course a flat rate is the most customer friendly for all customers as a whole. For some customers, TOU billing is actually advantageous, depending on the area and their work patterns. And in terms of fairness, TOU is the most fair as it allocates the true cost of the actual electricity...

26 cents a kWh in NC

There's more cost in running a Supercharger location than just the cost of the electricity from the local utility. Also, while I don't suggest that Tesla is charging outrageous rates just to make money, they are a for-profit corporation not a charity

Tesla introduces time-of-day Supercharger rates at select locations

I'm guessing in California time of use is mandatory in some if not all areas. In many other areas of the country (GA for example) time of use is optional, but not required. I'm guessing this is probably only going to be implemented in places that have mandatory TOU (which may be beyond...

Receiving FM radio with HW 3.0 in Drive-in Theatre

Does this adapter actually work with Teslas? I thought only a phone could transmit bluetooth to Telsas

    Positioning charger in one-car garage?

So, I didn't really think about across from A, but that is not a bad suggestion. I am actually not entirely sure which wall the power panel will be on (depends which end of the building this unit is), but the unit I saw it is indeed on the opposite wall. This is all during construction so it's...

NC Appraiser for Property Tax Bill

I'm willing to bet where you live (which I think is California?) has "property taxes" on your car. That's the bulk of the dollar amount of most people's car tags. it's called Ad Valorem. It's not that unreasonable if you think about how much money the state pays for infrastructure for a...

    Positioning charger in one-car garage?

I am starting the purchase process of a new condo that hasn't been built yet, as soon as I get everything signed they will start construction. I am going to have the builder put in a circuit for a wall connector in the one-car garage, but I am trying to decide what would be the best location...

Fatal Flaw with Text Support (2019.40.50.1)

A lot (if not all) of this sounds like bugs/issues in the Android implementation of RCS and/or Bluetooth SMS notification handling
