Derry pulls plug on electric car charging stations

Nope. They are a straight gift/donation. Town (or any other destination charging partner) can do whatever they want with them.

    Supercharger - Lubbock, TX

I'll repeat my response from over there. I really doubt it. No listing in the TDLR system (TABS), nothing in Lubbock's planning or permitting portal, and no one who keeps an eye on the Texas811 dig notices stuff has mentioned seeing something that is relevant. Not fricking likely. That's...

    Supercharger - Clayton, NM

There are at least 3 different and independent ways that outsiders can learn about future supercharger builds in Texas, and none of them show that Tesla is almost ready to start construction in Lubbock. There's no TABS application; there's no listing the Lubbock online database for plan review...

    Supercharger - Creston, BC

Look at the SC.info map, they are there. If you're only looking at the changelog tab, you're going to have a hard time getting an accurate picture of the current state of affairs as plenty of locations take a long time to go from initial listing to construction or operation. Osoyoos and...

Wishing Out Loud: A mini Tesla DC charger

Or anywhere (or anytime) the power grid isn't stable, then in the short time that the electric grid is back up before falling over again.

Supercharger - Olema, CA (location found, in planning approval application process)

I just checked the county database again, and it doesn't look like the building permit has been issued yet. No info on what the hold up might be.

    Supercharger - Irvine, CA - Culver Drive (LIVE 17 Apr 2021, 16 V3 stalls)

It's a V3 supercharger, so up to 250 kW. But it's often the case that in the period after initial activation, new V3 superchargers don't seem to put out full power consistently. So, if you're hoping for the full 250 kW, you may have to way a few weeks.

Supercharger - San Gabriel, CA - Valley Blvd. (under construction Apr 2021)

From the conduit layouts in the equipment pad area it looks like it's going to have 5 V3 cabinets. With their standard 1:4 ratio of SC cabinets to stalls, that points to 20 stalls.

EVgo is finally installing High Power Chargers

You're going to get a lower charging rate if you plug in with a lower SOC, not a higher rate. It's not the same as using a supercharger which can put out hundreds of amps, the charging curves are totally different when charging on an amperage limited DC charger. And you just unambiguously...

    Supercharger - Beaver, UT

The portion of the plans shown in a picture up thread said that only the first 2 blocks would be activated initially. All the subsequent ones were going to be done after the utility transformer is upgraded to a larger unit that can support the higher electrical draw. So, those curious about...

Supercharger - Yreka, CA (Permit Issued, 12 V3 stalls)

Yeah, the box is a high voltage, underground electrical vault and the precast pad will go on top of it and have a transformer mounted on top.

Supercharger - Dallas - Park Ln.

The TDLR thing isn't a permit, it's just a review of site plans to ensure they meet disabled access standards. It doesn't give any authority to proceed to construction. It is, however, an often necessary step in getting an approved building permit for superchargers in Texas. Maybe two years...

    Supercharger - Davenport, FL

File that one under: Solutions For When Your Tent Doesn't Fit.

Moving to CA from VA... CHAdeMO worth it?

Assuming all the superchargers are working properly, and you're only going to be driving along interstates from VA to CA, i.e. no driving around backwoods areas off the beaten track for days at a time, then there's no case where a CHAdeMO adapter would be very useful on that trip with the...

    J-1772 Connector

That's just the 14-50 adapter for the mobile connector. All cars still come with the J1772 adapter.
