Why doesn't FSD hug the left side of the right lane?

You have AP1. That’s why they won’t fix it. It’s no longer being supported. AP2/2.5 used to do the same thing on a hill, but it’s been long since fixed in ota updates.

    FSD Beta 10.69

There was almost a 12 second gap before another car came in the same lane. 5 seconds if you're counting cars in other lanes...but it should go if the left most lane is clear

If they can’t meet the safety score requirements they shouldn’t be in any position to evaluate the safety of FSD Beta 😂

Yea that makes sense. 10.5 was one of the biggest improvements for me as well.

How do you know they are at 100%. I hope it’s not because Elon said so lol

The next one will be 10.420 and can go On forever before 11 lol

My local freeway was under construction during the previous map release, so it’s been tagged as a 55mph speed limit on my Tesla since then. Been super annoying trying to use AP/NoA lol

It's not common, but occassionally usually on accident, if you brake too late for a light or you creep into a blind intersection to realize a car is coming fast and you've pulled your nose out too far, i have seen people reverse a little in these instances

...for one turn😂 Wake me up when the march of 9s begins for the other trillions of scenarios

Yea highway PB has improved a lot in the last few months on AP. I rarely get them either. (FSD Beta city streets still has loads of PB events though)

It's expected for threads to go off topic when 10.13 (the main topic) has been coming next week for the past 6 weeks lol😂

Honestly I think basic production AP stack is good enough to be L3 if Elon and his AP team implemented some hand off mechanism for anything unexpected like certain weather conditions, and maybe set some minor restrictions like speed < 70mph, no lane changes, and staying out of merging lane. But...

You’re trying to change your argument. This whole thing started because you have been trying to incorrectly explain L4 vs L5 in terms of whether they need pedals or not. See your quote below. This is wrong because a geofenced AV would be L4 and does not need steering or pedals.

Great…FSD Beta is junk in CA also. So I guess we should temper our expectations? Lol

You’re still not getting it. An L4 robotaxi may drive perfectly but be limited to a city like San Francisco. If it drives perfectly without issues, but has geofenced borders, that’s L4. It wouldn’t need steering wheel or controls. It can’t get itself into a situation that needs override.
