  • Hey,

Thanks for the valuable answer on my thread about tire width on the RWD M3...

I read you a beta testing the MPP Traction control defeat device? How is it? does it take away the initial throttle lag? What are your general impressions?

The PartyBox is great. My impression is that there are multiple causes of the initial throttle lag. The primary function of the PartyBox is to allow more wheel slip than stock, so you don't feel the power restriction as much coming through corners That is when the power restriction is normally due to the stock TC trying to ensure the wheels don't slip.
Separately, I think Tesla's software reduces power on the RWD at low RPM, and the PartyBox does not change that. So, I have not seen any difference in 0-60 times because the grip capacity of the tires from a standing start is sufficient to handle the limited power of the motor at low RPMs. You can do burnouts and donuts, but you've got to do something to induce the wheel slip first (like a Scandinavian flick).
These can be fun, but the primary purpose (at least for me) is to put down better lap times and for that purpose, the PartyBox is awesome. I hope this helps. Check out my channel for some lap compares and donut videos! https://www.youtube.com/user/openupism/videos
