VW CEO Says Automaker Can 'Probably Overtake' Tesla 'At Some Stage'

At a meet-up of all the vW Beetles ever made (21,000,000), a strident Tesla owner said "your cars are ugly". Beetle owner 1: " Did you hear something" Beetle owner 2: "Nope" Another meet-up across the road of the 11,000,000 VW branded vehicles delivered in 2019 was gatecrashed by the 100,000...

I sat in the rear of a Model Y today

So a buddy of mine WAS a mid level Tesla guy. <--- just fixing this for you to add Tesla's typical response to leaks.

Do I just sue Tesla? New record for getting Powned

Gotta respect that position. That's because it wasn't a Tesla wire. Electrons flow better through Tesla (TM) wires. Tesla told you so. I support your view that the 12V battery claims made by Tesla were nonsense. I don't support that you swapped the battery out on a car with a known defect...

Do I just sue Tesla? New record for getting Powned

Seriously? The first thing you do when you get your car back is put the Li 12V battery back in after all the grief Tesla gave you? You couldn't, like, you know...wait for a day or two? Hope you at least put the Tesla original 12V battery back in before it goes back for more service.

Elon: Tesla vehicles will 'soon' talk

Good to see Tesla making sure even the most visually impaired drivers will be well informed. :p ps In all seriousness though, this idea does seem to have a lot of potential.

Two reports of Teslas on AP hitting stopped vehicles in their lane on the freeway

Actually, I think that's *exactly* what people think an airplane autopilot does, hence why there are so many mishaps with Tesla autopilot.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

This is what I used to think - that this would be the death of Tesla, and Tesla was no longer the company it was. I kept waiting for the next "Tesla killer" to put the final nail in the coffin. Problem is, there is just nothing that beats the absolute pleasure that driving a Tesla brings...

    Supercharger - Bendigo, Vic

Woohoo! This is a gamechanger for that region. Interesting that they are marked "Tesla Vehicles Only" as ICEing was a significant problem before with the destination chargers at Kennington Village.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Same with AP1. I presume you're describing the end of a passing lane section. Workaround - lane change to the right before the left lane starts to disappear.

    Close calls?

Good posts reminding us that *range anxiety* is a real thing and not just something made up by Tesla shorts and trolls. For what it's worth, I get anxious with < 30km range left and very anxious at < 10km.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

The emphasis is on "most". Our 16A WallPod died, leaving us with only the supplied powerpoint charger for our i3. Having gotten used to the faster Level 2 charge rate for the i3, it is very painful to now be forced to wait for an overnight charge. My wife prefers the i3 to our Model S since...

    Supercharger - Bendigo, Vic

I go through Bendigo reasonably frequently (thank you Kennington Village) and decided to check the Tesla Supercharger map.... Lo and behold I see: Bendigo | Tesla Australia "Target Opening in 2019". The pin seems to be generically in the centre of town. Haven't seen this on the map before -...

Tesla forced an update of my P85D to 2019.16.2

There exists a fine line between having an opinion opposite to your own and discussing it - where there is give and take on both sides - and trolling where the posts exist solely to get a reaction from as many people as possible. Troll posts are characterized their lack of give and take in a...

Just a little note about the Ignore function built into the forum software. Click on the poster's name and you will be taken to their profile. At the top right of your screen will be the option to Ignore the poster. I succumbed about halfway through the thread and it made it much more readable.
