Wait, since when did Tesla start telling people that they would need to pay for the UV treatment?

The UV tools have only been in use for a month or two. It’s not a good sign if they are frequently breaking already. Has there been any part of this situation that Tesla hasn’t bungled lately?

I’m glad to hear your SC is trying but it is a bit disappointing to hear that they are waiting to the 30th day to take care of it. It really makes it feel like they just don’t care if even after arbitration they drag their feet on getting it fixed. I don’t think this is your service centers...

I suspect that they will ultimately tell you that "the fix is coming and they will let you know when it does" or some such nonsense. I don't get the sense the service centers have the power to many any decisions on their own regarding the yellow screens.

I'm sure Tesla feels this is simply a wear and tear issue. Why should an owner assume a core part of their car will last the life of the vehicle... totally unreasonable to think that. :rolleyes:

I would be curious to see what your screen looks like after the treatment in screen cleaning mode and/or the sketchpad.

As amusing as contacting the service center every day would be Tesla has made attempting to contact an SC near impossible. They don't want to hear about your problems. Its not like their job is to provide support to the owners or anything (part of which is just answering simple "how do I..."...

Having Tesla replace the screen under warranty two times for this issue should be pretty strong evidence if you decide to go to arbitration. Tesla will try to argue that they didn't know the yellowing was caused by "sunlight" back then which is why they were so kind and just replaced it but now...
