Like many, reading this makes me want a front and rear dash cam, but I so dont want to have to install anything in my X, like running power wires to the OBD port etc. It occurred to me the car already has multiple front and rear video cameras, and probably has a loop recorder of some sort also...

I wish I had said no to the update. I normally would know better than to trust any major version update with .0 in it. I too was eager to try out new stuff. But I guess theres no way to downgrade.

How about another option of USB "sound card" mode for phones? So thats different to playing files off a USB drive, its like a live Aux audio connection, only over USB. When the phone is connected by USB to the car, the car audio system should show up on the phone as new place to send the audio...

Hi, Im pretty disappointed with V8. A major version update like this should be a quantum leap better than what came before, but in the case of V8, its quite a step back in many areas, and no steps forward, in my humble opinion. 1) the "bigger" map that now requires an extra touch "somewhere...
