    Media Input Issue

Almost the same problem for me. With SiriusXM, the steering wheel buttons used to move through the radio favorites. Now they go to the next/previous station in numerical order, even if it's not a favorited station. (I have a 2017 Model X 100D with the MCU2 upgrade, but I assume it's the same...

Is Your MCU1 Model X Still on 2019.40.2.1?

Yep, I also have a MCU1 X (2017 100D) and am still on 40.2.1. I also tried setting the car to "advanced" but it still says there is no update available. And I also have the bad ping-pong autosteer behavior. It's bad enough that I won't use autosteer with anyone else in the car because it will...

    No more manual battery preheating?

Nope range mode is not on. Once I’m driving the battery does warm up eventually, but on a 10-15 minute drive in the city I might not get any regen until I’m almost at my destination.

    No more manual battery preheating?

Ever since my Model X got the update with the Scheduled Departure feature, pre-heating the car manually (e.g., going into the app and turning on climate) does not preheat the battery. The battery icon doesn't appear in the upper-right, and when I get into the car after 15-20 minutes of cabin...

    Driver Door Open motor failed

This just happened with my July 2017 MX100D. The driver’s door could only be opened from the inside by pulling the handle all the way and then gently nudging the door open. The SC diagnosed it as a failed “door latch actuator”. It took about 10 minutes to diagnose when I brought the car in, a...

Does anybody regret buying Model X for your main car?

Yep, I know about that. But it’s not the default, and I think by having it display rated miles by default, new owners are lulled into a false sense of security about their available range. If it displayed percent by default, it would at least not be making a misleading statement (sort of like...

Does anybody regret buying Model X for your main car?

While all of this is true, I think Tesla made a bit of a user interface mistake by displaying charge in “rated miles” rather than percentage on the dashboard. The rated charge figure can be misleading for people who don’t understand how EVs work, and that the energy per mile can vary by as much...

Another Model X Problem!!! 3rd row seat stuck in down position.

Same problem here. You should call the SC, I was told that I needed a new seat cable and they’d have to order it. Still waiting for it to come in ~5 weeks later. Fortunately I don’t use the 3rd row seats much so it hasn’t been that much of an inconvenience, but I agree with others that it’s yet...

    Post Software Update - Model X non-responsive

You’re being much, much nicer than I would be in this situation. If my car was undrivable and unresponsive, I would ask that they valet deliver a loaner to me ASAP (same day) and flatbed the car to the SC for repair. No way I would let it sit for a week+ while hoping someone could come fix it.

    Missing Tow Package?

You need to ask your OA to specifically check the configuration. Generally inventory cars are sold “as built” regardless of what was or wasn’t standard equipment at the time. If there’s something you need to have (tow hitch, sub-zero package, etc.) you should not depend on it being standard...

No More Quick Connection Phone Dock for PUP?

Yeah, I sort of wish I hadn’t made a big deal with my DS asking him to install it. I never use it because it’s impossible to get the phone lined up, it doesn’t work in a case, and you can’t see the phone without unplugging it from the dock. I’d rather plug into a regular charging cable and set...

Picked up X last night and...

Unfortunately I’m in the other camp. Bought a MX 100D inventory vehicle with ~900 miles on it and took delivery mid-November. I figured that since it was an inventory car any “infant mortality” issues would already have manifested and been taken care of. When I picked up the car, I noticed the...

    TACC in stop-and-go traffic

Interesting...I’ve usually been keeping it at 3, which is where I usually have it set for highway speeds. I’ll have to try the higher settings the next time I’m stuck in traffic and see how it is! The behavior I’ve experienced so far is bad enough to make my wife and son carsick, and they’ve...

    TACC in stop-and-go traffic

When stuck in traffic, TACC (and autosteer) do a great job of reducing mental load...you can just sit there and let the car speed up and slow down for you. However, passengers have commented that the car is much “jerkier” when accelerating and braking than a human driver (me) would be. Putting...

    LTE slowness

I can confirm that streaming is 10x better now. It’s like night and day. Songs start instantly, the whole song buffers within a few seconds (instead of keeping barely ahead of real-time). Zero loading errors in ~45 minutes of listening tonight. Awesome to finally have it working!
