Has anyone who had a failed 85 or 70 battery been offered a new battery Or everyone gets refurbished? is there a difference if car is under warranty vs not? im assuming anyone under warranty gets refurbished battery, but what about those out of warranty? if thousand of cars fail within 6 months...

If I understood this correctly, payment was strictly for the loss of use during that period. In that case, it does not apply to any future issue, reduction of capacity, etc. maybe someone here has more specific and factual information?

Were you able to resolve this? Got the same problem, when it was needed it didn’t work (on family members car) and on mine it blew a fuse.

Have you figured this out? I got the same problem. The thing just doesn’t work. On my family members 3 compressor worked but not the sealant (when he really needed it). Then I tried on my MS to see if it’ll work, and it didn’t work at all, and then it blew the fuse. I’m suspecting that switch...

From what I read in DJRas' post, it seemed there was some talk of fires. So I would imagine NHTSA would be all over this now with Tesla's admission that battery capping was intentional and without owners' permission. So what is the reason admitted to for doing so?
