Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Has anyone who had a failed 85 or 70 battery been offered a new battery Or everyone gets refurbished? is there a difference if car is under warranty vs not? im assuming anyone under warranty gets refurbished battery, but what about those out of warranty? if thousand of cars fail within 6 months...

If I understood this correctly, payment was strictly for the loss of use during that period. In that case, it does not apply to any future issue, reduction of capacity, etc. maybe someone here has more specific and factual information?

    Interior temperatures too high

Did you ever solve this? If you are ok with it, can you share which model, you have? Thanks

Continental PureContact LS vs Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II

i got Pirellis in April to replace MXM4s On MS. they handle better, are quieter, more comfortable, probably will last longer, and are more efficient by around 5%. but…they made me feel unsafe. Every time I looked away from the road, and I mean for split second, car was going into another lane...

    Tire Repair Kit

Disregard, I just found several YouTube posts on how to fix. Looks like two contacts on the inside where sealant can goes need help to be pressed in

    Tesla branded tire repair kit?

Were you able to resolve this? Got the same problem, when it was needed it didn’t work (on family members car) and on mine it blew a fuse.

    Tire Repair Kit

Have you figured this out? I got the same problem. The thing just doesn’t work. On my family members 3 compressor worked but not the sealant (when he really needed it). Then I tried on my MS to see if it’ll work, and it didn’t work at all, and then it blew the fuse. I’m suspecting that switch...

I don’t doubt what @wk057 is true to the best of his observation and analysis. However, it just doesn’t cover all the cases we see, so there just might be a bit more to the story (to be clear I’m implying he’s not aware of it, NOT that he’s hiding info). Three example here, we all got reduced...

Wait it is 11k for a remanufactured battery with no guarantee to have full capacity as new? Ouch. what’s the warranty?

it trully is amazing that we all had that capacity, and then didn’t, and now some of us do. i didn’t know wear and tear is reversible by itself. Or are you saying they are laying now and we actually don’t have that capacity? for all the legal wording references you make, maybe take a look at...

Ingesting part Is they say do not charge or leave in the garage. on a different note, this article seems to say Tesla solved this problem at roadster time…:) How Tesla engineers solved the problem of exploding EV batteries does anyone know if 85/70s batteries are the same as what was used in...

Wiki Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software

Very true. Like someone said before, part of this deal should have been to extend battery warranty for the duration of the reduction in capacity, and guarantee it will never happen again. The fact that it wasn't part of the deal, indicates prolonging until some warranties expire was likely the...

From what I read in DJRas' post, it seemed there was some talk of fires. So I would imagine NHTSA would be all over this now with Tesla's admission that battery capping was intentional and without owners' permission. So what is the reason admitted to for doing so?
