MYP PUP uber turbines to 19” TSV with DWS06+

Good luck. I bought a couple on Amazon that looked close and returned the one that didn’t match. Colors are hard to gauge on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08LGPZ4Q4?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Seems they will be in stock soon. Good luck. I haven’t examined these closely recently, but FWIW I’m very pleased with the look of these.

Updated impressions (relative to ubers): Comfort: Clearly less jarring over road imperfections. It’s now a nicely padded sport suspension. No longer need to creep over railroad tracks or similar road imperfections. Although still careful, I am no longer paranoid about potholes. Efficiency...

Looks great. A friend’s reaction was that the 19” wheels and taller sidewalls look “more natural”. To each their own. Fully agree on comfort: A more-padded firm sport suspension. The more I drive with these 19”TSVs, the clearer this becomes.

Should I have this on both brake calipers?

Brilliant! I was just looking at a pic of the passenger-side pad (w wheel removed) and noticed the symmetry and was just about to look at the bottom of the other pad. Mystery solved. Thanks!

So clearly not based on much data but on a 23 mile loop of mixed highway and local roads, I saw a 8% increase in consumption according to my car’s standard on-screen trip recorder (272 v 252 Wh/mi). I posted additional impressions below. I plan to run this 23mi loop periodically to collect more...

Installed 19” TSV satin gray, conti extreme contact DWS06+ today. Initial impressions: 1. I highly doubt the uber lug nuts were torqued properly. Was way too easy to loosen. 2. Appearance: While clearly not as aggressive as the ubers, the looks of which I really like, these are pretty nice too...

    Compare driver side caliper.

See metal clip in this pic of passenger-side front caliper. This clip is missing on the driver side.

I will decide after winter whether these are permanent or winter only. I struggled w the 19 v 20 decision. But ultimately went w the 19s for best chances for less jarring ride, reduced pothole risk and lower tire cost and more tire options. It was close. 20s probably look at least marginally...

Congrats! Looks great. Would be interested in your impressions on ride and efficiency.

Not sure. I’ll try to weigh the ubers once I remove them. Should be about a 7-9lb reduction at each corner. But then again the TSVs w Conti DWS should weigh a little less than 60lb (not 62lb) if I did my math correctly.

So I weighed one: 62lb. Seems heavier than expected when adding the claimed wheel weight and tire weight (as provided on tirerack.com).
