2023 Model Y rattles in the back

I folded the rear bench seats down. Then locate the pins securing the bench/seat to the rear of the car. Then I wrapped those pins w felt tape so when you put the seats up and secure/anchor them to those points, there are no metal to metal contact to cause noises.

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

Thanks I never thought of using my calipers for more accurate tire depth measurements.

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

Both cars were done at Low as I noticed the cars ride at that height more than 90% of the time. On the S, I don’t set it to default to low so in rough surface streets the car rides in Medium height. Looks like the S comes from the factory w slightly less negative camber than the X. I’ve had 15k...

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

Here’s a 2023 S Plaid w/ the silver shims. “Before” is with the rear shims installed, front is stock and unadjusted.

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

Correct. The “before” is after I added the rear camber silver shims. That part is not adjustable so prob reduced the camber from -2.3 to -1.5. Of note is the front camber from the factory is off significantly. I read about Tesla alignment being off from the factory and didn’t believe it until now.

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

This is my MX LR on LOW height before (w/ silver shims installed) and after alignment. From factory, front Camber was not even, -.5 left and -1.2 right so might pull car to one side. Toe rear .38 and .43 which is too much after the silver camber shim installed. Now .23/.22. Camber rear better...

    2023 MYP to 2023 X LR

I had a 22 MYP w the MPP comfort coilover. That Y was perfect in every way except the ride quality (even after coils). I just got the MX LR and I don’t miss the Y one bit. The biggest downside is a slightly bigger car to park. Otherwise everything is better than the Y. On daily driving and not...

    Visor cracked windshield

Wow thanks for the heads up. I installed mine the day I got the car last week. Luckily I’ve only driven it for one day. I just checked and there is very little space between the windshield and the metal ring that helped keep the screen in shape. When the visor is extended from the sides to cover...
