Audi and now Aston Martin imitating Tesla - how things are changing!

So the model X will have 3 years (at least) before the e-tron is on the market - it hard to see this as being anything else than a catch-up attempt. On the plus side hopefully Audi will use the Tesla supercharger network and thus help fund its further growth.

Apart from the clearly provocative headline designed for clicks, what does everyone speculate is the author's objective in writing this piece?

My anecdotal experience is that millennials are much more likely to know about the Model S than the older folks like myself...

Looking from the outside the various US state based sales/distributor laws do look pretty silly. Only upside is hopefully we'll get a Tesla store/service centre in Western Australia sooner!

I live in Perth which is 3420 km (1470 miles) from the nearest service center (in Melbourne). It appears that Perth owners are grouped together and a tech flies in and completes multiple services - my first is due next May. Still uncertain what happens if a major component needs to be replaced...

My impression is that for some people Tesla represents change that is too much to handle or is too threatening. The consequence is they look for something that must be 'wrong', and in doing so highlight their own fears (yes I'm looking at you ICE journalists!).

Was at a party on the weekend and a member of a country volunteer fire brigade asked me about what emergency services must do to make a Tesla safe to attend to in a crash. Can anyone point me to this info? thanks I have a have a silver 85!
