    Bodywork/Paint - Hampshire

I had paint flaking off my sills when my M3 was a similar age. Tesla Winchester had it repainted under warranty - I think (not 100% sure) that a nearby Honda workshop did the work. They did a great job and the paint has been perfect over the last two years. I had another paint job on my Range...

    Unlatching power difficulty...

I don't use Siri and have never used shortcuts. Is this a tricky thing to set up?

    Unlatching power difficulty...

Over the past couple of weeks I have really struggled to unlatch the power cord (at home) from my Model 3. I suspect, but don't know for sure, that it's because I am usually pre-warming the car and therefore there is power being used. This morning (-5 degrees) I spent ages trying to get the...

Have you lost faith in Tesla?

Lost faith? It's not a religion. It's a car and mine does what it says on the tin - like many other cars.

EV's to pay Road Tax from April 2025

It does throw up some interesting anomalies. My friend with a low emissions petrol Audi pays £30 a year in VED - my EV with zero emissions will pay 450% more. I assume the VED method of calculating duty on emissions will need to be overhauled.

    Leaving charge port open....

He could have been watching - he (or she) had Sentry running. He should have tooted his horn in thanks! :)

    Leaving charge port open....

A Model 3 next to mine today in the underground car park chargers, was parked with it's charge port left open. I did the obvious thing, obviously (!), and unplugged mine and plugged him in. How was he able to leave his locked car with it's port open? Neat trick.

    Model3 with French motorway tag

I could be wrong, but the dotted or shaded part of the windscreen is free of the filaments for a heated screen. The tags don't work quite so well behind these filaments. As the Tesla doesn't have them, you can put the tag anywhere... however, high up and favouring the left hand side will work...

Here's how to charge with 32A commando in UK

I've used a 32 amp commando socket every day for over a year without an issue.

First bit of snow this morning...

Thanks.... I am due a new set, will give them a go.

First bit of snow this morning...

My M3LR slips and slides on a modest slope that is grass covered - none of my other cars do. Is there a good 'intermediate' tyre (in the UK) that is recommended for Teslas?

    M3 Gone Wrong

It would be easy to lose faith in a Tesla being reliable if functions start failing one by one..... I really would not want to be stuck with a dead Tesla somewhere. Hopefully this can be resolved and Winchester can get you into a loaner. Maybe they even read these boards?

    When will you upgrade?

I am 7 months in, rather than 3 years... but it's my intention to keep the car for 150,000 miles or more - which will be 10 - 15 years. The range is fine, performance is good, cabin is quiet enough and I can't imagine any features I'd be desperate for. If the Roadster ever appears, I would be...

    Model 3 Ground Clearance

I have a Morgan too (Aero +8 4.8) and also live up a similar track.... I have found a route through! The Tesla feels as low as the Morgan - which is very low.

Frustrating new customer experience - invoice payments

I bought my car in December and transferred the £50k to Tesla. I had no acknowledgement that the money had been received and was quite anxious for a few days.... from memory I emailed a helpful guy in the Winchester showroom and he confirmed that my car had been paid for.
