Sold Ownice T1 CarPlay, Android Auto AI Box dual Wifi

it also has massive lag on Intel Atom models.

Aftermarket Tesla CarPlay and Android Auto Devices

I have had the ownice device for a year now and it's in a cupboard because the lag is so bad (up to a minute behind!). Does anyone with a Model 3 Intel Atom NOT have this problem (which would mean either my car or the device is the issue). Also, what's the latest software version. Mine is on...

Hey - great to see yours is working and with a Intel Atom processor? Did you manage to save any settings on the 3.3.3.3 page? When I do and then reboot, it just reverts back to China...

Back to Ownice if that's ok. Firstly I have to update via Phoenix suite as 3.3.3.3 just fails ALL the time. But that's the least of my issues.... Unless I am doing something wring, changing the settings (China to US) is pointless as when I reboot the device (as prompted) it reverts back to...

I changed from 5 to 2.4 and it solved it. However it defaults back to 5 every time it boots up.

Mine suddenly wouldn’t connect today no matter what I did. Just got the black settings screen but wouldn’t go to CarPlay. It eventually came back but with huge lag issues. I think maybe a Wi-Fi issue with T2C and car?

Maybe I misunderstood. Sounds like the issue can happen ragardless of whether 12v or cars usb port. Sounds like issue is all about proximity.

Great step by step walkthrough for new owners of the T2C. To be clear on point 1 - it powers up when you open the door because it's plugged in to the 12V charger (not directly in to the USB port where you would need an on/off switch) and therefore does not keep connecting to the car...

I will test this. I hadnt actually left the house to see if it would auto connect to the T2C!

ok thank you. It does shut down eventually so that's good. It doesn't auto-connect so I still have to manually switch from home to T2C wifi but I'll live with that.

Apologies that I've ambushed this thread. So I am now powering the carlinkit through the 12v adapter. As I read it, I now dont need an on/off switch. I just set both the T2C wifi and my home wifi to always connect on drive and it 'should' reconnect to the T2C when I open the car and connect back...
