Powerwall discharging while in 100% back-up mode

1.43.3 - I have no control of the gateways settings either. It does what it wants. Rumor is patch is coming in a few days.

    Powerwalls Discharging in Backup-only Mode

1.43.3 here also - unable to control my TEG all month. Ticket opened. I call weekly to bug them. They’re testing a fix in house, no ETC. :( I’m stuck at 100%, dumping all of my solar to the grid during super off peak. So mad at Tesla.

Actual shipment and installation of Powerwall 2

Just got my two PW2's installed with a full house backup,

Best Virginia Residential Electric Plan for Tesla?

Powerwall 2 and solar could really maximize the savings of this plan. Most importantly, it would add backup power for winter storms and hurricanes.

Solar inverted needed with Powerwall 2.0?

Your array is too large for one inverter is what they're saying. They stated that the AC version includes an an inverter right in the above text. :)

    Powerwall2 and Enphase Microinverters

If the AC Powerwall 2 is chosen, there's two inverters, not just the solar panel'S inverter. That's why I'm saying you can run more during an outage or if running an off grid setup, if using a Powerwall 2 AC version.

Best Virginia Residential Electric Plan for Tesla?

Schedule 1T, it's 2.5c per kWh off peek! Only 15 cents peek, so, not that bad. Available now, with no demand charges!

    Powerwall2 and Enphase Microinverters

Correct, if the inverter can handle it. Charging a Tesla at 40 amps and running your AC off of a single PowerWall 2 will not work. If you have 10kW of solar and a clear sky, plus a full PowerWall 2, you can do that for a while most likely.

Can Powerwall 2 operate in multimode at the same time?

As a SolarEdge 7600 inverter owner, I'm interested in the AC PowerWall 2, unless there's a large price gap. To connect the DC PowerWall 2 to my system, I'd need to upgrade to the powerwall version of the 7600, which is about $1,500. Then, I'd need an auto-relay, some power sensors and other...

Best Virginia Residential Electric Plan for Tesla?

Is the Dominion Smart Pricing Plan still available? They do have demand charges, so we'd have to slow charge from 10PM-5AM. It has demand charges, the highest kWs used for any 30 minute period * about $2. But in the winter, off peek power is like 3c/kWh.

Solar inverted needed with Powerwall 2.0?

Don't forget, to get your 1440 watt 12 amp, 120 volt AC, you'll need a 12 volt DC, 120 amp connection. That's going to be some HUGE gauge wiring to handle that. This is why, unfortunately, AC is king for anything but short or low power runs.

    Powerwall2 and Enphase Microinverters

Yes, the Powerwall 2 will control a fancy switch that cuts off grid power when it doesn't detect current. It will then turn on it's inverter and energize the house. Your micro inverters will detect that power is back online and start doing their thing. If there's a surplus of power, the battery...

Best Virginia Residential Electric Plan for Tesla?

The whole house EV plan, plus a Powerwall 2 and 2 EVs, and I'd have been saving piles of cash. Charge them all from 1-5AM, run off battery in the morning, solar charges up while at work, then solar/battery powers the AC until the sun sets, then the battery takes us out of the expensive time...

Best Virginia Residential Electric Plan for Tesla?

I know this is an old thread, but any updates on this? I have 7kW of solar and just picked up a Model X to add to our short range EV. It appears, it may be cheaper to switch to the EV whole house plan and ditch net metering. Charging for 1/2 the price during super off peek and still having...

60D and 200 miles range does not seem possible

You should get better range at a constant 60-70 MPH. Starting and stopping a 5,500lb car over and over again creates a lot of heat.
