    Drive unit replacement

Hello, I have a 2013 85P+ with 70,000 miles on it and free charging for life. I purchased this almost 2 years ago private sale and at the time there was a very tiny click, whenever accelerated from stop or from low speed. However, over the last year and a half, the noise has gotten much louder...

    Lifetime Average Wh/mi

I bought a 2018 100D 3 year lease return from Tesla 1 year ago. It had 30K miles. I've put on 25K in 1 year driving around North America in the winter as well as all season driving. 26K mile average around 330Wh/mile. Recently put on a hitch and towing 2000 lb trailer RV, and if I'm lucky in...

Towing Camper with Model S 85D?

@Stotts and @airborne spoon : I would really appreciate you keeping me updated as you do trips and possibly keep track of the wh/mile efficiency using the MS. I know the 2 huge factors for towing are weight and aerodynamics. My Tesla is a 2018 MS 100D. I am having U-haul add the hitch which they...

Does installing a hitch void your M3 warranty?

I respectfully disagree. Adding a tow hitch aftermarket, that has not materially affected the item in question for warranty purposes (ie. battery), would likely not void the warranty. If a manufacturer said it did, then they would be in violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Any thoughts...

please recommend quality all season 19" for S.

Just an update for anyone reading in the future: I did get the continental pure contact LS tires and after 3000 miles on them, they are fantastic even in the snow. My model S is just rear wheel drive and I have no problem going up moderate hills in the snow. They did great with standing water...

please recommend quality all season 19" for S.

So in the end, and after Spending half an hour with a Tesla technician at a Tesla service Center, it was determined that the tire pressure monitoring system put in by discount tire is not compatible with the original software on the 2013 model S. So discount will change the TPMS back to the...

please recommend quality all season 19" for S.

Thank you for the recommendation, but I did try that also. I changed the wheel to 19 inch as well as going back to discount tire and having them check the TMPS. One of them was not programmed right and after deflating the tire re-programmed and re-inflating the tire, I still get the same reset...

please recommend quality all season 19" for S.

I ended up putting on the new 19 inch EV01+ rims as well as the Continental PureContact LS tires. There is a noticeable improvement in the sound and ride. Even the performance on hydroplaning hazards was much better compared to the 21 inch performance tires. However, NOW THERE IS A PROBLEM in...

New to Tesla ownership with 5th EV

Hello from NW WA State, I'm excited to be getting my first Tesla later this week. I am purchasing from a private party, a 2013 Model S 85P+ with 51K miles. I've had a Niro EV (wonderful but too small and too slow charging on road trips, and 3 Pacifica Plug-ins over the last 4 years. The...
