One more joining the club.. late 2023 MX. Same experience, except unfortunately my wife was driving at the time and I was not nearby. It was towed to the SC not too far away and the family got a free Uber ride home. No service on the weekend so it will have to wait until Monday (if we're lucky).

FWIW, we have a new-to-us MX, and while we will probably opt for a shade, the sun hasn't been a huge issue for us. Though, I don't commute with it, but if I commuted into the sun daily I might have a different opinion.

@F20C1, did you ever find and install 19" wheels? (Or anyone else manage to do so?) I found someone on FB Marketplace selling some and they couldn't fit them on their Plaid but thought they would fit on a non-plaid MX refresh.
