    Supercharger event or meltdown?

So, we’re supercharging in Gainesville, FL & our X indicates we’re charged to the 80% parameter and suddenly an unexpected dramatic situation occurs: the dash & touchscreen start rapidly vacillating between “zero battery warning & charging complete” beeping & sending warnings about stopping...

Difficult situation with a Condo, advice appreciated...

Ours is long range X, we installed a NEMA 14-50 & that is plenty to charge her up to 80% over night. The electrician charged ~ $500 to run a very tidy overhead conduit from the 50amp breaker (25 ft.), to the 14-50. Otherwise the supercharger is ~ 15 miles north & another one ~ 25 miles south. I...

    Supercharger - Alpharetta, GA

Thank you. We ended up going to Buford which was great because we had lunch @ Ed’s Montana Grill & I’d never had a bison burger. Lol. Then Tifton was “easy peasy” & the drive to Tallahassee was downright pleasant: great road. Finally, our last hurrah was a blue moon beam paddle in kayaks on Lake...

Supercharger Usage In North America Reached Pre-COVID High

Of course, I’m so happy; the more the better; onward & upward; but, I gotta tell ya Asheville, NC needs at least one more supercharging station!

    Supercharger - Alpharetta, GA

Hello, We’re hoping from this conversation that there is a Supercharger in Alpharetta because I’m thinking we would rather go there than Atlanta. IDK why I’m not getting a clear route with “PlugShare.” I’ll use the Tesla map in the car next, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask. Thanks...

    Navigation Issues

Thank you, Shawn. I changed the navigation settings to your recommendations. And, we have the latest version update: (2020.24.6.9 9a5f3cf2c682). Ours doesn’t have a NA . . . I agree that I don’t always agree with the routes, ie: most of the time I prefer not to travel on the interstate locally...

    Navigation Issues

Thanks, for your response but the routing problems I’m experiencing are for example: sending me to a suburban neighborhood for the UPS office in Gainesville; routing me circuitously through downtown Starke, FL to get to the Jacksonville Airport; going in the wrong direction for the UF Physicians...

    Navigation Issues

Thanks. Shawn, Our 2019 X has an MCU2 with long range & full self-driving capability. Apologies, IDK what you mean by map data level.

    Navigation Issues

Initially, I thought the navigation system would improve automatically. Evidently, that isn’t going to happen. I realize living rurally may be a challenge, but Gainesville, FL is a relatively large city & the route to the Jacksonville airport shouldn’t be that difficult. I guess I still have...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

Indeed, we were informed of this a couple of weeks ago at the Jacksonville Service Center. However, I am certainly not flooring it every time I accelerate. In fact, I’m noticing a slight shudder even at a very reasonable acceleration rate. At this point we’re trying to reduce the suspension to...

Now We’re Really an All Tesla Family!

Wow! That is awesome. I still have a gas pick up truck, but the cyber truck is on the horizon. We’re thinking the semi could pull a nice travel trailer.

Now We’re Really an All Tesla Family!

We had an exercise in patience with Duke Energy to the tune of ~ 3 months, but it’s all good now. I have to admit it’s quite satisfying to monitor our energy use etc., between the solar panels, power walls, & the “grid.”
