Why place the order before then? At least don't fill out the profile if you don't want to take delivery. The bill hasn't even passed yet.

Pretty sure they changed it to 2022 model year sometime last month.

Got a VIN this morning. The tesla rep said I would get a text message. That was a lie. I've 'accepted delivery' for a vision-only 2022 M3LR. VIN now shows on the order page, EDD 11/16-11/22. I have no plans on waiting for the tax credit, so this is perfectly fine with me.

Lucky guy. Seems like your EDD was moved around a bunch though. At least you're getting it now. Hopefully I'll hear something this upcoming week.

It got pushed back to Nov17-Dec15 and then back to Nov16-Nov25. Looks like even if you're in the window, it'll get pushed back if you don't have a VIN. Guess I won't be holding my breath next week either.

Lots of reports suggesting they will apply an old order fee as a credit to your new order. I would call/e-mail the SA and ask for that.

I'm fairly sure I've read that Tesla will always give you a price quote for repairs but won't actually charge you if your repair falls under warranty. If I recall, rattles/noises are covered for the first 1,000 miles so it would most likely be covered here. I would call in and ask about it in...

Seems like the form is not very useful anymore for the amount of orders that they take. Curiously, there are recent survey results showing customers ordered and took delivery over the course of as little as 24 hours, which is certainly not possible in this market. Unfortunate.

When did you complete your profile? Did they push back your EDD at any point? I ordered on October 6th and have the same EDD estimate.
