Don’t worry about not having Ludicrous, I have Insane on my P85D ad it is stoopid fast! Smokes absolutely everything in normal driving (have a few Supercar stories :) ), and I leave it on 100% of the time.

Makes complete sense to me that the M3 width is so similar to the MS. Likely the architecture of the battery package and mounting is common dictating the width be so close. Likely also that the minimal width difference between MS and M3 for "mirrors folded" is actually measured at the body...

Yep, this is my assumption too. Which, BTW is completely believable after I had my rr qtr replaced at a cost of around $35K. I had expected much less of a bill for my insurance company. Can't wait to see my premium next year...

My understanding is that the warranty on an inventory car is exactly the same as a new car, with the clarification that the 40,000 is additional and starts from the mileage at collection. I.e. if the car has 8,000 miles recorded when you collect the car, the new warranty will run until 4 years...

I thought that Tesla stopped the staggered fitment in early 2015? I know because early P85Ds were staggered, yet mine (a late 2015) came with 21" rims and the 245 tyre all around. Did they revert back to staggered with the P90DL and P100DL?

Yep, that is the biggest concern. How is all this going to be when there are another 300,000 Teslas out there that need service, body repair, loaners etc...as much as they fight against it I can see franchise service centers in the future..
