need a Lemon Law Attorney please!

They were purchased from a reputable dealer here in L.A. Not sure if they were specifiaclly for my hub size/offset but they were one of the options for my car. Wow, never heard of a hub-centric mounting spacer. It sure would be good to have a reliable way of mounting them back on after tire...

Thnka for thinking outside the box Sperkin! Went to check but all tires are in their right place. I wonder if it has to do with the position of the wheel on the axle, meaning they found the right bolt /hole combination by accident.

Since I started this thread a while ago, I wanted to report back and admit I was wrong in asking for an attorney. As some on here have suspected, the issue were the wheels/tires. I finally had the chance to swap from a friend's X' 20' wheels and the vibration was gone. We put my wheels on his...

Used Model X, Year to Buy?

I got lucky mostly with a pretty pristine car at delivery. The car had some shuddering around 75mph which turned out to be the tires I had put on. Some creaking from front axle when slow maneuvering which was repaired and has now come back. Just a little annoyance. A rattling noise from the...

Used Model X, Year to Buy?

Hi Joe, I see you're in CA like me. I have just very recently toyed with the idea of selling my X from Dec 2018. Have not advertised it anywhere yet and don't know the pricing either. Once you've gotten some opinions on here about which year and so on, let me know if you'd like to tal;k sopme...

Yes, that will be my next course of action. Business is been keeping me from it.

Yes, it was the same on mine. They lubricated points and called it a day.

Sorry to hear your story. I can imagine the frustration you're going through. I haven't had the time yet to swap my wheels to possibly eliminate my shudder. But the clicking noise at slow speeds is back just like before the repair.

Most likely permitting delays. County and city are still understaffed.

    Phantom hard braking on autopilot

Same year MX, same software version. Started to happen to me again as well. It had become noticably better in 2019 but now I've had it happen 2 times in the last week or so. Not driving every day.

Yes, that is my thinking too. I’ll go to them when time allows and ask for a swap and test drive. If, for some reason, the wheels are the culprit I’ll report back. Regarding the clicking noise at slow speed turning hasn’t gone away completely. It’s less now after the upper control arms swap but...

Model X Wannabe: How to convince the wife?

You may want to tell her that you can get this amazing car for a huge discount if you're going for a pre-raven 2018 or 2019 model. I have one of those and, since Tesla dropped the price on these, our cars have lost considerable value. It does NOT need to be a $100k car at all. While the...

Model X section 168 bonus depreciation

You are correct. Many CPAs are not familiar with it and find it too good to be true. Either make them review the appropriate sections in the tax code or find a CPA with experience with these things. I had to educate my CPA as well and he reassured himself with 2 of his colleagues. One said yes...
