Refreshed 2021/2022 Model X Owners Thread

I spoke with my Tesla Service Advisor today and he claims that about a month (probably as part of the v11 software?) the remaining range displayed on the instrument cluster is no longer the simple EPA rated range, but dynamically adjusts based on ambient temperature, and recent...

Testing The Limits of Winter Driving in a Model X

Indeed, I would love a scientific answer. Both my M3 and MY are performance, so my assumption was that Tesla had simply tuned them to be a bit more sporty, what with track mode, and drifting and all that, but that doesn't really hold up if the LR MY exhibits the same behavior. My wife's 2018...

Testing The Limits of Winter Driving in a Model X

FWIW, Having driven the Model X, Model Y, and Model 3 extensively in snow, my experience is that the X is by far the best of the three, and in my opinion the best snow vehicle I've driven, including numerous Subarus, Audi (A4, A3, Allroad, and SQ5), and BMW X5. Model X was the first Tesla I...

Refreshed 2021/2022 Model X Owners Thread

I have been searching for other info on this, I am only seeing about 315 miles on mine, which doesn't seem right. How about you?

Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

The car does lower on the highway, I think it's around 45 or 50 mph, but if you're in "standard" height, and punch it, you will easily pass 60mph before the car has any time to lower. For me the shudder would only occur under very hard acceleration usually around 45 mph, but that was in an early...

Refreshed 2021+ Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

We've got a little club here. I'm also in Oregon, ordered Jan 27th, got the call to switch to 6 seater on October 18th... fingers crossed they come through before the end of the year. FWIW I did talk to the delivery center here in Portland today, and they confirmed they've already delivered...

    Tesla Model X T-Sportline 20" TSS Winter Nokian - $2400

Set of 4 T-Sportline TSS 20" gloss black rims with Nokian Hakkepelita R3 SUV snow tires, perfect condition, no blemishes or curb rash. Only used for 3 months last winter, estimate they have about 2000 miles on them. Selling because I got a Model Y and so sadly can't use them (different bolt...

Grand Teton/Yellowstone accessibility in Model 3

I was there last fall and didn't have any trouble... There's free public charging, as well as a supercharger in Jackson. I did not go to any trails that were off rough roads, but range wasn't a problem.

Winter tires for the 20” Induction Wheels?

This guide is quite helpful to get OEM wheel specs: The Tesla Model Y Wheel and Tire Guide The induction wheels are a square setup (all 4 are the same width), so that makes it much easier. You can get my favorite, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV winter tires in 255/40R20 which will fit the...

Model Y vs Model X: interior and comfort

The wheels and tires your vehicle is riding on will have a pretty big impact on this, and a significant amount will also come down to personal preference, so you should definitely go test drive one. I have owned X, 3, and Y, and driven several Model S as well. I personally prefer the Model 3 and...

Is MY ride so harsh in the back seat that Its batter to wait for the air suspension

I guess it depends on what you're used to, and what you consider harsh. I prefer a stiffer, sportier ride, so I have opted for the sport package and large rims and low profile tires on BMW X5, Audi SQ5, Tesla Model X, Tesla Model 3, and now Model Y. In my opinion the ride in the Y (both front...

Rattle from rear center seat, another video now too

I sat in the back and had my son drive and I am almost positive that it's simply the two rear seats rubbing together. Definitely not something to be cured with oil! :) I think they will need to make the rear seat backs fit together a bit tighter.

Rattle from rear center seat, another video now too

I have found the seats rubbing together was the primary noise for me... If I have the smaller split in the upright position, and the larger seat reclined then it's about 95% better. I haven't taken it into the service center yet, can't stand the idea of being without it long enough for them to...

First impressions: Y vs Macan S

I'd also be very curious to see an actual decibal noise test in a Macan (or other similar ICE). I have read several people saying that they think the Model Y has a lot more road noise, however I wonder how much of that is simply because in an ICE some of the road noise is lost in the white noise...

Intermittent loud screeching coming from right front wheel

Could also be a pebble stuck in your brakes. Try backing up and maybe turning back and forth a little while backing up to see if that dislodges it.
