    Model X not “shutting down”

Well, I was hoping that the infotainment glitches would stop after the MCU1 replacement, but that's not happening. We've had a few issues (music not working, side passenger airbag icon popping-up, no connectivity, etc.). However today was a little more concerning... Infotainment screen was...

    Model X not “shutting down”

Another update : the SC replaced the MCU. Same model (Tegra) but different part number apparently. When I asked if that issue was fixed on the new part, the answer was fairly vague. Of course all profile data, stations, etc. were lost. But that's an easy fix. Would be nice if all that data...

    Model X not “shutting down”

Quick update. Got an email late last night for an appointment to the Service Center. Was able to start the car this morning (reboot of the instrument cluster as the car was non-responsive to a break pedal press) and drove it down to the SC this morning. Drive was interesting... Looks like...

    Model X not “shutting down”

Thanks for the link. The car was still under warranty when those issues happened so hopefully they’ll honor that. Otherwise I will take a look !

    Model X not “shutting down”

Yeah. I actually had a service appointment for August to change the MCU after I kept having issues with Bluetooth, sound and slow starting car. I initially thought it had to do with a bad firmware upgrade with 2020.15.2. But then 2020.16.2.1 seem to resolve all those issues... until 2020.20.1...

    Model X not “shutting down”

Was able to leave it outside the garage and use the charger to plug it in a 110v outlet. Lost about 10% battery yesterday. But that should keep it afloat until I figure something out. thanks for the suggestion.

    Model X not “shutting down”

Yeah, not even sure they can access the car remotely. The app itself can’t connect to the car.

    Model X not “shutting down”

Ok. Thanks for the info. Any chance this logic won’t work since the MCU seems bricked ?

    Model X not “shutting down”

Having some issues with our 2016 Model X (on 2020.20.1) : cooling fan and HVAC still running after I leave the car, doors not closing, and touchscreen completely dark. This happened after a reset of the MCU (press on both scroll wheels for 10s) that needed to happen after some Bluetooth / MCU...

2020.4.1 trying to contact an IP address in Germany ?

Just noticed this morning that our Tesla Model X running 2020.4.1 is frantically trying to contact 138.201.64.208 (apparently a web hosting company called Hetzner Online GmbH). Has anyone seen this before and knows why? I am assuming it's the latest firmware update but that's just a guess...

PowerWall bundling option gone from Solar Design page

Was told that they have stopped stand-alone Powerwall installs. My sunroof estimate wasn’t good enough in terms of generation so I asked (again!) for them to send me a quote *just* for the Powerwall install and that when my adviser said that’s not offered anymore at this time.

    Supercharger - Henrietta, TX

Same here. Tried today. I had to change stall a couple of times (all empty) because the charge was interrupted a couple of times after only going to about 58kW. Not sure if it was the SC or the 30F and ice on the car ‍♂️

Supercharger - College Station, TX - Texas Avenue South

@AndrewTX , any way to ping that person again to check on the status ? Seems that a local (urban) SC in CS would be an ideal spot either for game day or for events / business at TAMU -- i.e. day trips for which most people don't really have the time or flexibility to find a destination charger...

    Texas SuperCharger rollout 2017/2018

Any updates / info on the College Station, TX supercharger ? Was supposed to open in 2018 initially, but now saying 2019... since it's end of September, I am guessing that probably won't happen ? This would be a really useful location going NW from Houston to Waco / McGregor and for the amount...

Just found a pin to drive bypass

It appears that rev 2018.50.6 might be fixing the lack of pin-to-drive request after a summon -- I just tested that today and I am being asked to enter the PIN after I have summoned the car. However it doesn't seem to solve the case I described above, where the car doesn't need to actually be...
