how many kept your old ICE around as a backup? And how long before selling it?

I kept my 1998 SAAB until it finally died about a month after delivery of the Model S. We had loaned it to a friend, else it might have been left sitting utnil it fell apart from disuse. We are now getting a car #2: a VW e-Up.

    Got Firmware 6.0?

Got it yesterday, on the 24th. So I voted "no". Still no autodimming when entering tunnels, which is the one feature I really really want. My daily commute gives me a choise between 5 or 8 tunnels each way, in 35km (22 miles).

Help design a pedestrian warning noise for a Tesla

My experience is that it would take a foghorn to have any effect in these instances. Something around 120 dB.

Will you get "TankMode" added to your Model S?

I drove over a fist-size rock today, probably dropped off a dumper from the nearby construction work. I saw it too late so I clipped it with the inside of the right front tire. and was treated to the sound of it bouncing and rattling its way back under the car. I panicked for a moment until I...

    EU Market Situation and Outlook

1491 Model S sold in Norway in March, a new record. No other car model has ever sold that many in one month. I would say that Tesla is well established in Norway. :)

    VisibleTesla

Has anyone else ecperienced that graphs and trips just stopped working? Both worked fine a while ago, but I didn't use them for a long time. Months, maybe. Then the other day when my wife was out driving, I used VisibleTesla to see how far off she was when she was heding home - trying to time...

    Bad experience with flood waters

I got caught on flooded roads after (and during) torrential rains here in Norway. When I came to an extra deep place, I put the suspension in "extra high" and crawled through. No problems experienced before, during, or after.

Tesla Owners Work in Oil/Gas Industry

That would be me. I notic that on an average day there are Teslas in at least 6 of the 57 charge spots in the car park at work, the rest are mostly Leafs.

Broken driver's side mirror - where to get replacement glass?

That's the mirror I need. Now I can only hope that one of these sellers is willing to ship it to me in Norway...

Broken driver's side mirror - where to get replacement glass?

About a month ago the driver's side mirror was hit by something in a crowded parking lot. I found the housing folded out and the glass on the ground, with several fractures. It took me only a few seconds to figure out how to reconnect the wires and push it back in place, and then I ordered a...

    Real-time traffic not so real-time?

The traffic has been working fine for me, but yesterday I ended up in a 5 km solid pack after a collision on the main road. And the display showed the road in nice optimistic green the whole time. :(

Many owners with UMC problems in Norway , specially during cold weather

I live in a milder part of Norway, so I haven't had any really cold days. I have had to reinsert the UMC twice in two months, that's all. Norway not only has an unusual power net configuration, we have three of them! Newer installations are 400V 3-phase TN net, older ones are 230v IT net, and...

New Supercharger Dashboard in Hawthorne Lobby

I see Lillehammer, Gol and Lyngdal on the list - not bad! I expect that the activity on all Norwegian chargers will pick up a lot around Easter.

    Model S consideration

It all depends on your charging opportunities.. My daily commute is 35km each way, plus another 2x15km on Thursdays. I plug in when I get home, and plug in when I get to work. Both places I charge at 230V/13A, which gives about 10km range per charge hour at current driving conditions (dark...

    Unions

In my case, I work in the oil industry. In Statoil, to be precise. Other oil companies would most likely pay me more for the job I do, but I kind of like it in Statoil. I used to work in a multinational service company, and there were times that I really benefited from the unions. So I'm a...
