    Model Y tyres

I got the Hankook Ion Evos two months ago. They are much quieter and seemingly a smoother ride than the Pirellis. Not cheap, but we're very happy with them.

Recommended cleaning products (Australia based) for Model Y

I have PPF and a pressure washer, but out here the bugs are too numerous and too stubborn. Without NXTZEN (which was the best of several potions I tried), the pressure washer gets maybe 80% of the mess. With PPF on, I can get really close to the surface, but not good enough without the cleaner.

Recommended cleaning products (Australia based) for Model Y

NXTZEN Super Clean is amazingly effective for removing insect remains off the front and the mirrors. I buy the 5 litre size. Highly recommended. The guys that did my PPF use it.

    Wide Turns with basic AP

This is a constant problem on non-divided roads. Also horribly bad is TACC panicing when an oncoming car appears around a bend. All cars are nicely in their lanes, but a hard slowdown ensues. Really quite poor.

Autopilot needs manual lane change without disengage

Just buy the Commander from enhauto. Best features are autopilot resume after lane change and "kickdown" mode that makes driving in chill mode much better. No need for the S3XY buttons themselves but the Commander is brilliant.

The state of journalism - SAD

They're not uninformed. They're informed by Sky News, The Australian and Fox News. The cream of the crop.

The state of journalism - SAD

Non-article but with a little gem of insight inside. I do realise the word "journalism" should never be used in reference to the Daily Mail. "The energy that is stored in the battery of a Tesla vehicle is used to kick-start a small motor that is fitted inside which generates the power to...

    Supercharger - Richmond VIC

I have a service there 31 January and I seems they have service timeslots into February. So not closing the centre imminently.

    Premium Connectivity Availability

Possibly because the car park operator installed a 3G-only repeater. Our high rise had one for the interior.

    Wireless Charging Roads?

Yep. The same people ask me why the car doesn't do regen 100% of the time to enable a longer trip.

    Wireless Charging Roads?

Take-down of this latest boondoggle, with Aussie accent. Slightly annoying voice but spot on.

Suddenly; "unable to locate vehicle" message- anyone?

Tesla changed the API recently and all apps that use it to obtain location were required to change how they called the API. Perhaps you were not getting the phone app update for some reason.

    2023.32.6 autopilot speed limit change?

Now that the ruination of Twitter is complete, I suppose he has more time to devote to screwing up usability of Tesla software. I don't know of an emoji to convey my feelings on this. Autopilot is now a pain in the backside.

Phantom Braking getting worse - any ideas on how to stop it?

That's my experience as well. On rural roads, specific tree shadows in a few areas used to consistently cause Autopilot PB. Not anymore. Very happy. Another commenter mentioned that Autopilot uses raw camera data (photon data). I thought this was for FDSb only?

Describe your initial impressions upon new delivery of 2023 Model Y

Not yet but it is highly annoying. Glad I'm not the only one who has this issue.
