    New Model 3 Performance news

Have a 2019 P. 155k+ on the odo. No weird sounds emitted going forward or in reverse (apart from tyre noise). Can't say I've noticed it once. Also haven't splattered any deaf or blind people.

Car Network connectivity solutions 2G-3G-4G-5G - Australia

Unless things have changed recently, Aldi will only give you access to 98.8% of the population (wholesale Telstra network). Telstra & Boost will get 99.6% (ie. full Telstra network coverage).

Yeah, I take it back. Not waking up now. Maybe it was already awake and I didn't notice.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Correlation doesn't equal causation.. ;) It's just a co-incidence. I've been on 2024.8.7 since 28th of March. No remote wake-ups have been working for the last 3 or 4 days. But today it works. Someone at Telstra (or Tesla) has bounced the relevant server / black box.

    Superchargers in Australia

It may well be able to do that. 99.9x% of the time (same as humans). But that won't be Tesla's decision.

    Evie EV charging networks

You might've missed English classes so I'll let ChatGPT help you.. :P A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable. Instead of using a direct comparison, like a simile does with "like" or "as," a metaphor...

    Superchargers in Australia

After watching a whole lot of v12 FSD videos, I look forward to doing the same when it's released in the next 12-24 months! All the armchair experts that commented that ... "Elon's an idiot. We need LIDAR. it can't work on just vision!" "It won't work with out RADAR!" "It can't park without...

Model 3 Performance Replacement Tyres - Cost and Durability

Has done it to my tyres since 2019 (M3P-). Current/last set finally did the recommendations of doing rotations but only did 3 lots of 10k rotations before slacking off. Finally had to replace the fronts (down to the wire on the inside) at around 68k (should have done earlier if noticed). Might...

Euro crash tester says carmakers must return to physical controls - Impact on Australia?

+1 I've been driving for 30+ years and previous to the Tesla I've never even had a car with a shifter as a stalk! I do vaguely remember my parents old Kingswood that had one .. clunk .. clunk .. but apart from that it's just something I'd only ever seen in one of those Lampoon's vacation...

    Powerwall 3 Roadmap - 3 Phase Coming!

1/11/23 - Installed total cost of Powerwall 2 + gateway was $13.5k (Newcastle). $750 rebate from Tesla + $800 bill credit from Simply Energy on their VPP.

    Supercharger - Albury, NSW

It might change for any 800V cars utilising them. I can't see Tesla installing / upgrading any though, at least not until the Cybertruck or other Tesla 800V cars come upon the scene.

    Supercharger - Albury, NSW

I was there a few weeks back. Pretty sure all current V4 pedestals are backed by V3 cabinets .. so exactly the same. I was getting the usual 250kW early on (low SOC), which quickly dropped off after a few minutes.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Helpful information. But in general, it will never go higher than what it was initially set.
