Summons Fail - Crashed - Body Shop Repair Estimate

MFi certification is a bit of a headache, yes; you need to buy a special encryption chip (or license and implement the encryption), and you need to write your communication protocol atop Apple's External Accessory framework. However, MFi is only required for custom Bluetooth Classic profiles...

    Logged out of slacker?

I have a personal Slacker account, which is what got signed out. Attempting to log in with the Tesla account before I left the parking lot didn't work (I also got the captcha message), but once I got home and logged in with my personal Slacker account it worked fine.

    Logged out of slacker?

Also got logged out today, yeah.

    Phone as Key Issues

That would make sense, as the persistent notification would be able to ensure the background service that provides the 'key' continued running.

    Phone as Key Issues

So I did a little bit of experimentation, and at least with iPhone, it seems that the phone key is very susceptible to signal attenuation. The simplest way to see this in effect is to put the phone in the back pocket of my jeans and stand facing the car directly; in my own experimentation...

    Model 3 Software Updates

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. Haven't seen a software update prompt in the car yet.

Jim Keller leaves the autopilot team

I believe the software is still headed up by Andrej Karpathy, one of the foremost deep learning and computer vision experts in the world. I'm sure autopilot software will be fine under his guidance. Keller was apparently a hardware guy, and even if he was getting the chance to work on custom...

[POLL] Will Tesla ever offer a key fob for the Model 3?

I think most of those reports were Android, though. Android and iOS have wildly differing implementations of Bluetooth, and Android has differing implementations of Bluetooth across manufacturers. For instance, code which worked 100% reliably on a Samsung Galaxy S8+ had a 20% failure rate to...

Anyone tested S/X CHAdeMO Adapter on Model 3

Sure, but that does no good if the Model 3 doesn't yet _support_ the CHAdeMO adapter.

    3/22/2018 New M3 Invites

There should be a bonus to Electric-type Pokemon when you're playing from the passenger seat of a Tesla. ;)

    Anyone else with glass defect?

I was going to post about how my co-worker mentioned having this same problem, but I see you're here already. :)

Already have J1772 EVSE, should I get the Tesla Wall Charger?

Yeah, I don't have a spare 240V available; I do have a spare 120V, but that seems... slow. I could certainly add a 240V outlet, mind you, but if I get an electrician in to add stuff I'd rather just add a second EVSE anyway. ;)

Anyone tested S/X CHAdeMO Adapter on Model 3

Putting aside whether or not the CHAdeMO adapter is useful to everyone -- since it's pretty evidently useful to /some/ -- does anyone have any idea when/if the Model 3 will gain support for the adapter? I have a trip planned in October; I should have the M3 by then (and would love to drive it...

Already have J1772 EVSE, should I get the Tesla Wall Charger?

I figure I would still charge with the existing EVSE 99% of the time, but having a nearby Supercharger reduces worry considerably about if there's a sudden need for a full charge and the switch-off timing between Leaf and M3 didn't work. I would be pretty equally annoyed by someone using the SC...

Already have J1772 EVSE, should I get the Tesla Wall Charger?

Well, I just found out they're planning to put in a Supercharger about four blocks from my house by end-of-year, which lessens the need for a TWC even further.
