    Dashcam Install Help

It appears the 2018.48.12.1 update has disabled the 12v accessory line when the climate is remotely turned on. I have restarted and tried with Keep Climate on and off, but no luck. Anyone tied to the 12v line experiencing the same thing?

    Dodged a bullet today.

It took a similar sized tuck traveling the opposite direction two seconds to clear the intersection at speed. The light was green for 4 seconds, allowing the truck to have cleared the intersection twice over at speed. At a lesser speed, it takes the truck about 1 second to go the approximate...

iPhone cases that can fit 3cards and the charger?

Have you tried using your existing case and placing the Tesla card in-between your phone and the case? There's no reason to take the card out, so you could keep it where you don't need to readily access it.

BlackVue b-124 battery sometimes won’t charge itself from 12v cig outlet - anyone else?

Before a hard reset with the foot pedal would fix the issue. Now, only a power cycle will reset what I think to be the virtual fuses. I've tried mentally to powerdown once a week to see if that would help mitigate the problem. Only been trying for a week or so, so nothing definitive yet...

BlackVue b-124 battery sometimes won’t charge itself from 12v cig outlet - anyone else?

I have the same setup hardwired to the 12v outlet and since I updated to v9 the random non-charging has started to happen more and more. I have a short commute to work so I do not get a full charge on either way, so I've employed the remote climate function to top off the battery mid day...

What you might consider doing is both a hardwire set up to the 12V and also one to the B-124. Throw in a toggle switch for "airport mode" to power off the 12V battery and switch back to the 124 for daily driving.

Twice window has not lowered when opening.

Any solution on this? My rear passenger has started to intermittently not drop the window when opening from the outside. Can't pinpoint an exact case scenario to reproduce, seems totally random right now.

    $2500 CA Rebate Experience?

Very good point. My peabrain finds it hard to wrap around the notion of living on 36-49k upon retirement but I chalk that up to living here in the Bay Area ($117k is considered "low-income"). You figure once you own your home you just need to worry about property taxes and daily expenses.

    $2500 CA Rebate Experience?

Sorry, didn't mean to put you or anyone else down. Was just making a general statement based on spending a years salary on a vehicle at one time (not accounting for the fact of taking a loan out, saving over several years, etc.) Living in the Bay Area on 70k at times seems like it should be...

    $2500 CA Rebate Experience?

I highly doubt that anyone buying a Model 3 would fall into the 300% category. If they do, then they need to get their priorities straight. Granted, a family of 4 with two kids and a stay at home parent could sneak into this range but again, priorities...

Now possible to schedule mobile service online

They've had this option for a month or two now (as far as I know). Wanted to bring the car in to the service center to talk to someone so initially decided against mobile service appointment online. Got a phone call the next day saying they would like to send someone out instead. Bay Area...

    First World Problems Extraordinaire

No amount of (practical) tech would be able to tell that a wire is unplugged. From an electrical standpoint, the resistance drop between points would alert us to a wire break but that would require sensors at every connection point to determine where a break is.

    Dashcam Install Help

I was a misread of the release notes, I thought the same thing when I read it too. Had to do with "Region-based Motion Detection" and "Activate/deactivate Parking Mode".
