Using ChargePoint Home Flex for home charging.

CP shows 50 AMPS in the app. I checked with CP support and they confirmed on their end they see 50 AMPS as the selection. Prior to inserting the charging cable, the S will show 80 from the charge screen. As soon as I plug the CP into the Tesla adapter I hear the click from the CP and then the...

Using ChargePoint Home Flex for home charging.

I reset the breaker and rebooted the CP (from the iOS app) to make sure I had a clean start for this morning. I paid special attention to the Tesla dash screen. Unlocked the charge port on the car and saw 80 AMPS as the most my S will accept. Plugged in the CP and the display box instantly...

Using ChargePoint Home Flex for home charging.

Thanks so much for the info. It was saying 16/16 which is why I reset the breaker. I did not think about looking at the screen in the car. Will do that next time I am charging at the house (probably Friday) and report back. Appreciate the tip.

Using ChargePoint Home Flex for home charging.

I have a question about the Chargepoint and have the same set up as OP. Volvo "gave" me a Chargepoint with a new Volvo purchase. Chargepoint is set up and working fine in the Volvo. Through the CP app I have set the circuit to 50 AMPS (which it is). When charging the Volvo, it is working fine...

    1.5 Roadster Tire Thread

It has only been a few days and about 100 miles. So far all good with the new tires. Took almost 90 minutes for shop to install. They were very careful and I was out there the whole time. So far I can report these tires are quieter. Did some driving on mountain roads and no issues with response...

    1.5 Roadster Tire Thread

As of right now, my current plan is the Continental DWS06 PLUS for all four tires. 195 /50 R16 84W SL BSW on the front and 225 /45 R17 91W SL BSW on the back. I'll let you guys know how it goes. If anyone has any bad or good experiences with such a set that has not already been in the thread...

    1.5 Roadster Tire Thread

Thank you for that. Very helpful. Just finishing up the move. Still waiting on my Teslas to arrive. Hope they get here next week and I will get the new tires. Research on that continues.

    1.5 Roadster Tire Thread

Needing new tires and moving to Colorado from California. After reading the entire thread, it appears the best choice is Continental Extreme Sport DWS 06. Not knowing much (if anything) about tires, can you put 195mm tires as your front two tires? I see other folks have done it with good...

    Boulder/Denver Roadsters

I may need a new screen name as we are moving from Palo Alto to Boulder. I've been lucky as I have always had access to Tesla support to the Roadster and a year round driving environment. Interesting in learning if there are any Roadster owners in Boulder/Denver and your experience. (Am also...

    Signature Roadster Power Train failure

Thanks for your note. It is not my daily driver, my Tesla S is.

    Signature Roadster Power Train failure

My Tesla has returned! Took awhile, but I now have back my Signature Roadster. Everything works great. One lesson from this experience that I had not appreciated is how difficult it is to get parts and repairs on the car as it gets older. My roadster is just under 7k in miles, however the...

    Signature Roadster Power Train failure

Thank you all for your help. Update as of this morning. Had a call from the SC tech who apologized for giving me the wrong information last night. She tells me they now believe it is the battery management board inside the battery pack. However, and this is good news, that would be covered by...

    Signature Roadster Power Train failure

Thanks for the reply. I have had the yearly maintenance done each year at the local SC. Not sure what that entails, but it makes the error message on the screen go away. So, if removing the PEM is part of that service, then they have done it every year since 2008. The only service other than...

    Signature Roadster Power Train failure

I have one of the Signature Roadsters (original owner). Very light use, less than 7k miles on it. Two weeks ago I tried to drive the car and received a "Power Train failure" error. Called Tesla and was told to have the car flatbed towed to the local SC. They have had the car for two weeks and...
