Help me decide: Model Y or Mach-E

If you like the look of Mach E get it. But I would want AWD, if am driving to Tahoe or whatever sky resort, convenience of AWD is great.

Got my Model Y, Got my wall connector installed... now what?

You can schedule the car to start charging at whatever time you want. Not sure how the charger can help but car is smart enough. Look up off peak online.

    Charging options

I’ll order it, just to have both options. Would be nice if the big pack CB ever gets to my door.

    Charging options

I have both Gen 1 and Gen 2 UMC. But only 14-30 gen 1 adapter. Do you think I can order 14-50 gen 1 adapter.

I think that’s the way am going.

    Charging options

Currently have a model 3 and been charging with a Nema 14-30 outlet. But I recently moved and purchased a house. We have 200 Amp panel. I have a CB on order. And was thinking to install Nema 14-50. Do you guys think there are better options. I don’t really want to buy the Wall Connector. Maybe...

Refreshed 2021 Model X and Model X Plaid waiting room

I am thinking of selling or trading my 2017X for new model. Has anyone received theirs, what’s the wait time? Any comparison to the past Model X

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

Yes very strange behavior. It also feels like TC is pulling power more often. I decided to keep them on the car. Honestly I still don’t know if it’s the softer sidewall? Or grip. But I am a bit more use to it now. M3P goes through rears twice as fast. So in a couple years I’ll change all 4.

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

Hello, I recently replaced my rear tires on my M3P. Fronts have plenty of life left. I went with Nitto NT555 G2. Now at 60+Mph car turns in sharp and almost unstable. Feels like more body roll but also needs more correction. When it’s on AP it’s almost uncomfortable, AP has to make small...

    Buying Roadster Referral

Very true. At this point if I am buying a reservation now, I would want one with at least 40%. The roadster is not a priority. I think it will happen but not anytime soon. Plaid S,X pipeline will take at least a year to stabilize. Then probably 2 years for CB to get all set and mass produced...

    Buying Roadster Referral

Unfortunately no surprises at the Plaid event. Feels like the roadster is not hitting anytime soon.

[UPDATED] 2 die in Tesla crash - NHTSA reports driver seat occupied

Having a weight sensor is not a bad idea, but if you are going though the trouble as in CR video of adding the weight to the wheel, changing the speed to 0, leaving the seatbelt, moving to passenger seat. It’s quite logical to bring a bagpack with you and put it on the driver seat to replica the...

[UPDATED] 2 die in Tesla crash - NHTSA reports driver seat occupied

I don’t see the point of more monitoring. Any car can be made to drive itself it do something stupid. Lock the wheel and put a brick on the accelerator. Move to a passenger seat-enjoy. We are adults, paying attention to the road is important but at what point you are responsible for your own...
