FS: 19" wheels from 2013 Model S (no tires) $BO

Selling the 19" wheels from our Winter set for our 2013 Model S. (The Winter tires were worn out, so no point in selling those along with; we use our 2016 Model X for Winter duty now, so no need for the extra wheels.) Wheels are in the condition shown. Selling for best offer. Prefer pick up...

    Bumper Repair

You're a lucky (wo)man! I'm suspicious that front-end issues are more variable than read-end issues due to likely changes in hardware and layout between AP1 and AP2, but only someone with up to date repair documentation would know for sure.

    Bumper Repair

No idea about the $15k, but the 45 days may turn out to be a low-ball estimate. Our X needed a front bumper wrap and trim piece replaced, and we were able to delay taking the car in for repair for the nearly FOUR MONTHS that it took to obtain the default set of parts (bumper wrap, some...

new Trak Sport Snow Chains on Tesla Store

Installed the chains last night with the fresh lugs, and the collets seated fully. The chains stayed in place for a 15-20MPH drive around the neighborhood on dry pavement.

new Trak Sport Snow Chains on Tesla Store

I took the car in to the local maintenance facility this morning and tried pristine lug nuts with the collet — the nut was a perfect fit and seated almost complete into the collet. With all 20 lug nuts replaced, I'm going to fit the chains and take a test drive around the neighborhood on dry...

new Trak Sport Snow Chains on Tesla Store

All good thoughts, and I agree about the amount of purchase for the collet on the nut. I triple-checked the collets (thanks for the word!) on initial installation, including measuring the inner diameter with a caliper, and they are the 21mm. (And the 21mm fitting is for a 14mm nut...

new Trak Sport Snow Chains on Tesla Store

Here's a view of the inside of the sleeve and how far it slides down the taper of the lug nut, probably about 0.5cm or so.

new Trak Sport Snow Chains on Tesla Store

Tried these out today with the red spacer and had a miserable experience. We have a rear-wheel drive model S, and we put on a set of 19" Tesla wheels with Nokian Hakkapeliitta each winter. (These are the same size (245 45R19) as Tesla-blessed traction tires.) We tried the Z-chains two winters...
