    Using TM-Spy for iOS

I'm trying to catch up with this thread. I'm a bit confused as to whether this app TM-SPY is available for iOS in the Apple Store or should I still request access to the app? I can't seem to find it in the store. Trying to diagnose my 2012 Tesla Model S P85 that threw the infamous BMS_u029. Thanks.

Are you still on the original battery pack with your 2012-2015 Model S?

2012 Model S P85. 75k miles. Still on original pack. Charging was reduced to ~75 miles 9 months ago, been delaying the expensive HV replacement, but will get it done sometime this month as the charging after 40 miles takes forever (~3 miles / hr). Got the RDU replaced in 2022.

2012 Model S P85 - Door handles stuck and motors keep running

Opened the panel to access the fuse box but unable to get the cover off. Tried pushing the two plastic clips outwards but they were too tight. I didn’t want to use too much force as I’m afraid I might break it.

2012 Model S P85 - Door handles stuck and motors keep running

I've ordered the parts in Amazon and am planning to try fixing the handles early next week. Have another question. I've tied a ribbon around the driver side handle and am able to pull it open. The motor in this door handle keeps running non-stop, I can hear the noise. The front passenger side...

2012 Model S P85 - Door handles stuck and motors keep running

For now, I've tied a ribbon on the driver side door handle for me to be able to simply pull open the door. I tried pulling the handle as far as I could with the ribbon, but the motor continues to keep running. I will try with the microfiber cloth this evening when I get back home. Alternatively...

2012 Model S P85 - Door handles stuck and motors keep running

Thank you very much. I'll certainly keep that microswitch replacement in mind if I decide to fix it myself. Tesla quoted $600 plus taxes for both handles fix. I agree, getting it done by them is stress free. It's just that I'm up against another big spend (HV battery replacement) and paid for...

2012 Model S P85 - Door handles stuck and motors keep running

Fantastic video. I also watched two more videos - one from Rich that was referred in another thread. The more watch, the less complicated it feels. Thank you very much. Appreciate the responses.

2012 Model S P85 - Door handles stuck and motors keep running

Thank you. This is very helpful. I thought of pulling the fuse, but wasn't sure if that would disable the handles and I wouldn't be able to open the door at all. I saw a Youtube video that shows where the fuses are Here the door handles were present and stuck in that position. All he had to do...

2012 Model S P85 - Door handles stuck and motors keep running

The door handles of the driver and passenger side in the front are not presenting. When it happened with the driver side door a month ago, I used the simple method of wrapping the handle with a red ribbon (It's holiday season anyways) after prying it open with a credit card and I simply pull...

    2012 Tesla Model S P85 Battery Replacement

I went back and forth with EVR several times over the past week. The best they could offer is 2years / 20k miles warranty at $10500 (plus labor & taxes) for the 85kw reman. If they offer 3 yrs / 30k warranty for the same price, I will go with them, but they seem to be pretty set on this and said...

    2012 Tesla Model S P85 Battery Replacement

I wish I could do this, but I neither have the time or the resources to coordinate this project. Also buying it off ebay, not knowing the condition of the battery is a high risk option. Thanks.

    2012 Tesla Model S P85 Battery Replacement

Thank you. Appreciate the suggestions. I certainly can't afford a new battery at this time (spent close to $10 just last year for RDU replacement and MCU upgrades). I can't sell it either as I owe more than what the car is worth (with errors) to the bank. Of course I love the car and the driving...

    2012 Tesla Model S P85 Battery Replacement

I got the dreaded BMS_u029 message and also GTW_u019. Tesla has quoted $14,600 plus taxes ($16k OTD) for reman battery replacement with 4 yrs/50k miles warranty. EV'sRepublic quoted $4k less than Tesla but with 2 yrs/20k miles warranty. I also have a similar quote from Recell TX, but since I'm...
