Trunk unlocks perfectly but doors not so much-Is this a clue?

I have not posted in a while and followed the phone as key threads quite closely for a long time. Needless to say I am one of the people whose phone is unreliable for unlocking the car. However, recently I have begun testing the phone as key to simply open the trunk. Guess what? It works...

Antenna replacement to improve phone as key?

My key card has never worked well. Finally the dealer agreed with me and replaced the "b pillar" piece where the receiver is for the key card. Now it works brilliantly. I can simply tap the card and it opens. That said, I much prefer to use the phone as key when it works. I know they're...

    Phone as Key Issues

I know this has become common wisdom to toggle BT or airplane mode. However, I would like to suggest something different. When mine does not work I just stand there holding the door. Eventually it works without toggling or anything. So while it may appear that toggling is fixing the...

    Change in Bluetooth recognition

There is a whole thread on this issue here: Won't Shift in to Reverse or Drive

Won't Shift in to Reverse or Drive

Exactly. Thats' what I tried the other day. Phone unlocked car. Steped on brakes and seat adjusted and car appeared to start but could not shift. I used the app to try and "start" the car and got the message that the car was already running. So I wonder too whether it is NOT a phone...

    M3 Key FOB

Without passive entry, this device is useless. Moreover, the fact that Tesla is even selling one is evidence that they in fact have a lemon issue with many of their cars. In my case the phone often does not work and when it does, the car will not shift into drive. The card works mostly, but...

    Key Fob To The Rescue?

Okay, so there's a fob coming. The part of the description that bothered me was the 3 buttons. I am not familiar with Tesla's other fobs. Do they have buttons too? I thought they worked by proximity. On the model s, the door handles "present" themselves as the car unlocks upon approach...

Galaxy S8 Settings - Bluetooth Key

I have an S8, and it is not reliable no matter the settings.

    Key Fob To The Rescue?

Maybe this is old news but I just saw this article suggesting a Key Fob is in the works: Tesla is working on a new key fob – potentially for keyless Model 3

    Issues with firmware 2018.24.8

Hey! That worked. Took a couple of attempts and the door did not need to be open but it worked. Thanks!

    Issues with firmware 2018.24.8

Regarding the AC, I had an issue with mine in the first week of ownership (early April) where both the AC AND the heater would not work. They updated the software and got it to work again. They noted on the service receipt that at that time it was a known issue.

    Issues with firmware 2018.24.8

Yeah, I have easy entry enabled. I had this issue previously and they replaced the steering wheel.

    Phone as Key Issues

I have a question for all of you who are much smarter than me when it comes to this kind of stuff. I have read that there is a hypothesis that certain apps on one's phone may be impacting the tesla app. So, I'd like to do an experiment. What if I got a cheap Iphone or whatever people think...

    Issues with firmware 2018.24.8

My car was towed in for service last week and part of the fix included updating my car to 2018.24.8. The update seems to have affected two things on my car in a negative way. I swear I used to have the ability to press the window down button and it would continue all the way down with one...

Aftermarket Hitch Installation for Model 3

While I like tow hitch bike racks, this is getting a little complex. That and I don't like the issue of being lower in back as I go over bumps and steep driveways. I am going to go for this instead: SeaSucker
