Sure, it wouldn't surprise me in general if they are doing cross-country tests. What I find odd in this case is specifically how much of a hack job the setup is. Seems pretty susceptible to damage on a long trip (not to mention super ugly to look at).

That seems awfully crude for a prototype so far from the Bay Area, unless as you say it is a supplier's car. What kind of license plate was on the car?

Today I noticed that I have this issue on my 3 week old 70D. I had noticed kind of a lot of wind noise coming from the triangle whenever I got over 60mph or so, which didn't bother me much but today was my first extended highway drive in cold weather where I could feel the draft as well.

Had the bulb replaced today and so far so good. If this one lasts longer than a week then it's probably safe to assume it was just a bad bulb.

I did reboot the touch screen but it made no difference. The fog and cornering lights are working fine on both sides. It very well may just be a dead bulb but I guess we will see tomorrow.

Here's a pic of the toy car as well as the control panel, which also correctly (and more subtly) shows the light not illuminated.

It beeps as if there is an obstruction. Our local Tesla Ranger thinks it's probably a pinch strip issue. I haven't. It would surprise me if that worked but I supposed I might as well learn how to do it now.

I agree that it was very useful; in fact I would probably have liked an even more prominent warning that it was out, given that the car is obviously aware of this.

I picked up my 70D last Saturday and it is great, but on Friday night driving home from work I noticed that my car icon on the dashboard was only showing one headline illuminated. Sure enough my right headlight is out already. I'm assuming this means that either I got a faulty bulb to begin with...

12 days in production for me so far including 2 weekends. Not sure if those are usually counted or not. My delivery estimate had been "Late Nov - December" up until last night when it changed to "Dec 7 - Dec 21".

"Entered the production queue" is not the same thing as being "in production". My car was confirmed 10/12 and said the same thing you are seeing until last week, when it changed to "In Production". This is all very normal.

Great looking car! Do you have any interior photos? I just confirmed a 70D with the same interior options (minus the obeche) on Monday, and I have been second guessing my choice of white headliner to go with the black and grey.
